I see where you're coming from but ultimately think despite his performances of late being certainly below par, you're assessment of him is a bit TOO harsh. I agree that it would of done a world of good to loan him out as its definitely affecting his confidence and development being used as a makeshift defender. But can you find a game where Emerson or Donkerty performed on the same level he did against city or against chelsea? The guy has some serious potential imo but just needs a decent run of games to get his confidence back.
