Because it certainly looked like we lacked composure when pressed in the first half. Lots of brown trousers in our backline.
Bentancur looks comparable unflappable and should improve that aspect at least a little (though we'll still be needing some new defenders in the summer).

Our closing down was shocking today and Saints completely exploited that. They had so many long shots and early crosses that we just gave them for free because the players didn't close the man on the ball. Against technical players like JWP that's criminal and our defence was exposed for how woeful in the air some of them are. In contrast we had multiple opportunities to whip the ball in early and we went backwards to retain possession. Very disappointing

Sanchez is a player with a fragile mentality. You cold tell he was losing his head more and more often after pressure went on and we failed to control midfield and Emerson being a fucking Donkey on the right side. Davies unlucky with the slip on first. The two other goals is just calamity.

Totally agree. RWB, left sided centre back, 2 midfielders and a creative wing forward type plus 2 or 3 younger players, preferably homegrown. Be lucky if we do half that.
