Nothing is guaranteed of course, but as far as I can see he's the missing link to fix the issue we had in the first half against Villa. We've got goals by the bucketload, we just need someone to snuff out danger in the middle before it develops into a fullblown scramble in the box.

PEH can't handle the intensity that Wolves, Villa, Southampton and others have brought against us, Skipp can. That boy plays 90 mins at full throttle, and he makes the opposition hurt with every tackle.

The stats with/without him are night and day, all we need to do is shut down opposition build up a bit more and we can win almost all our remaining games except Liverpool.

Only if said English team that wins the CL finishes outside the top four, which leaves only Chelsea able to deny us in this scenario. And for them to even drop outside the top four or win the CL seems like a stretch right now, never mind them doing both. But this is Spurs…

Take your point but yesterday Hjojberg in the first half was better than Bentancur, and in truth Villa were simply excellent.

Skipp may be the better option but I think what we see now is the model. The next bit is getting the very best players possible to fit inside it. Always the challenge.

We can definitely challenge Liverpool. Not saying we will beat them, but every chance we score and hurt them

Might seem self-destructive but I’d prefer Man City to win the League (other than Spurs of course). And next season. And the season after.

Once the PL becomes like Ligue 1 maybe the PL and FA will finally do something about financial doping as foreign fans and sponsors alike turn away to other European leagues that are more competitive, and the money well starts to dry.

Not gonna happen. Not with Newcastle looking to emulate City.

+ With the likes of United it's not lack of money keeping them from being more competitive.

Also, Poch & Klopp (and hopefully now Conte) have also shown as long as you manage what you do have available well you too can compete.

The only way 4th would miss out on champions lge is if the spammers win the Europa and Chelsea win the champions lge and finish outside the top 4 (of which them doing either is unlikely)
