That was years decades ago. He was a good manager years ago.

He’s finished now, football from a bygone era like Howard Wilkinson and Kenny Dalglish, plus he’s a horrendous human being when it comes to football
Agree. The fact he's being lauded for getting Roma to 5th shows how far he has fallen. Would the Mourinho of 15 years ago have settled for that? They finished 7th last season and 5th the season before under Fonseca. The magic has long gone and its just diminishing returns.

It’s the sterile tactics and complete lack of entertainment too, beyond just bang average results. He would have taken absolute pelters if crowds were in at Spurs for certain performances l, in some ways it saddens me we didn’t see it!

Yep, the football was brutal. The fitness of the players was a disgrace as well. Even a total pro like Kane looked out of shape. He had great stats because he's quality, the lesser players unfit looked like they'd crawled out of the boozer at 2am.

Getting us to a cup final is failure?
by winning two matches against Championship clubs........I wouldn't categorise this as a success by any measure at all.

(Before you say we won vs Chavs, we drew the match and won the penalty shootout and therefore knocked them out: Law 10.2 in the 2020-21 Laws of the Game:
law-102.jpg

Law 10 makes it clear that a match is drawn, won or lost according to the number of goals both teams score ‘normal’ time or in ‘normal’ time + extra time.

Away goals’ and ‘kicks from the penalty mark’ (KFPM) are not part of the match itself and only are used to determine a ‘winning team’ where one is required. For KFPM, this is made clear in the next section of Law 10.
That section, Law 10.3:

Did we progress against Chelsea? Yes we did.

Did we get to a final? Yes we did.

Are you just anti Jose? Yes you are.

Mourinho must be true Spurs if we are talking about failing and failure.

“It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.”
