Can get out-muscled a bit and makes the odd daft mistake but nobody with half a brain would call him dogshit. He's excellent. Bastoni would have a similar showreel of defensive mistakes if he'd been playing in a two the last few years.
I disagree with this, he is much more suited to the Center of a back 3 in Conte's system than LCB, as he isn't aggressive/pro active enough for the CB sides. If you watch him, he is all about covering his CB partner, coming across to block, tackle and is usually the last man.
Also, if you look up his defensive stats, they are very similar to Dier, who's are very different to Davies, Romero and Bastoni.
Personally, I would still prefer Dier as 1st choice, as I think he organises our defence well and I'm not sure if Torres could match that. Torres is much better when pressed though.

Sounds like Bastoni first choice and Torres back up. Can’t help but think the Torres link now is just a ploy to get Inter (who need the money from the sale to buy players) to agree a fee. From memory they kept on moving the goal posts when dealing with that centre back we were trying to sign a couple of years ago (sorry, forgot his name).
