42 mill for Phillips is a good deal tbh considering the usual infamous English tax. Fernandinhos replacement.
Seems cheap. There must be some other money involved somewhere.

City don’t mess around do they? Hence why they win trophies. I wish our club were aggressive in the market like them. If you want Raphinha, put 65 mil on the table and just fucking buy him ffs![]()

Oh, thats why i suck my thumb. If there would be nail on the dick it would be a thumb. What's point of either of the comparisons?
With City maybe there's some creative accounting to help FFP compliance. Price seems too low.Strangely cheap deal, Phillips is English therefore already a premium, Eng international and a real big key player for them i would not have expected anything less than 50M as a minimum. Like Raphina he has 2 years left on his contract and in many way as good a pahnia has been for Leeds Phillips was more important in general , not only in terms of football but the drive and passion on and off the pitch leading by example.
Yep he is still nowhere near as good as Bissouma though who we got for £25m. Other than Haaland that deal won’t be beaten this window.
Nowhere near as good is questionable. He was superb in 20/21, ran the show for Leeds. Very different type of player, Phillips is much less explosive but has a superior range of passing.
Different types of player really. I think Phillips suits City more and vice versa Bissouma is what we needed.
Yeah I reckon there's a ma$$ive reason why they just pay up and don't me$$ around but I can't think why...![]()
Bissouma last season was unbelievable, maybe Rice and Rodri where better in the 6 role if we push it and that’s about it and Rice is a very different skill set, he rarely ever gets dominated against, if he was English our midfield would have much better balance.
I was worried Woolwich would get him that’s how good he is.

Anyone who thinks Spurs are going to use a whopping 150 million on players are smoking some real good shit. Even more unrealistic is the idea Levy will let our Deadwood go on the cheap.
The first three signings were miracles. Definitely Bargains. Unfortunately not all transfers are. We back to haggling a few million off Jed Spence and making 10001 bids for players. We all know the real issue. Levy wants to buy Low and sell High.
Its sad but I don't forsee players lining up to be a part of The Hotspur dressing room. Its sad, cause with Conté there, we truly have a chance to put trophies in the cabinet.

Levy is not dicking around, Spence had a price that was quoted to Forrest and others but for us that price was significantly higher, and gibson playing bill big bollocks took the real mick with it. The fact that he wont play for them again, his main desire is to leave them with us as top choice. We'd be happy to pay around the 15M mark but them wanting 20M plus addons taking that more nearer to 30M than 20M, we have every right not to be fleeced
This!! But also all the biting out at players. And him saving with his hands a sure fire goal in the world cup against Ghana.. and then his celebration afterwards as they missed the penalty. He his someone that is almost impossible for me to like after all those moments.
