The difference being that Lenglet has been either poor or piss poor at FCB for four seasons. I'd say they have a clearer idea of their players than we do.Whatever Barcelona fans think of a player I think the opposite. They are dumb and impossible to please.
Look what Juventus fans said about Bentancur and Kulu.
Something fishy is going on with the Lenglet deal. It went from we are paying 40% of his salary with a Eur 6m buy clause to over 50% with a 20mn clause. Someone is playing silly buggers.
Thanks, I don’t speak DutchMemphis : " I need a team to play around me... So I can do my thing "
Translation : " I need a team to work hard together, do my running, tracking & all off ball activities while I take the ALL the GLORY and praise while not tiring myself so i have time for all my social media accounts, posing, cigars, drinking and being papped leaving clubs at 5am in my shades"
Dont worry Torres will always be there..Lenglet does likely put an end to any Pau Torres deal you'd presume.
There’s still almost two months of the window left. We are going to get a RB. We there it’s Spence (who I don’t think automatically starts) or someone like Carrasco (who I think starts) is the question.
How they haven't been wound up is beyond me.Barca are skint so no doubt trying to get as much as they can. The have asked De Jong to leave over 14million Euros worth off unpaid wages
How they are not under a transfer embargo is beyond me
I’m interested to know what you think that? If Conte wants him I’m sure he has an idea of his qualities.
Why would you write him off before seeing him play? Not an argument just a thought Ben Davies was poor before Conte got his hands on him and the rest is history. I think after the negativity around Kulu and Bentancur I would have thought I’d fans would accept we really don’t know the limits of players we sign even if the noise around them is negative. I say let’s see what Conte can do with him and how he performs in a different league under a new manager and system. French international who was seen as a top talent reminds me of the old saying form is temporary but class is permanent. Let’s see what the kids got. I might be wrong but so you could you.
Oh I agree. I think that’s the weakest position this summer in the transfer market. Spence is our best option unless we someone get Carrasco which I’ve seen us linked and Madrid wanting several of our players.Spence: Ditto.
FWIW I'm not being impatient; I just get the impression that the shelves are pretty bare in terms of RBs.
Hypothetically....... Cos their immediate plight is wages..... If he plays well then Barca can ask a far bigger price next summer than if there was a purachse clause set based on his current form.
Regardless the odd logic was you suggesting we weren't that interested in the player?
Either:
We think he can be rehabbed... In which case why would we not want to buy him having fixed him.
or
Why would we even want him?
An option to buy would be entrely logical from our point of view..... (Whenever loaning players tbh.)
It would still be a 9/10 window. Only 10/10 if we managed to nab Bastoni, and a RWB of a calibre to compete with Reece James, TAA, Walker, Cancelo.if we can get lenglet and spence in, and gio, ndombele, reggie and winks out the door. 10/10 window! the only other addition would be another CB, but its not the end of the world if we dont get it.
What he actually said was Estamos cerca de una salida, pero se anunciará cuando sea oficial.
"We're close to a solution although it won't be announced until it's official"
In which case maybe there's some sort of a sell-on clause. E.g. if Barca get anything north of X million for him, we get a cut. That way we get something out of it, in addition to having him for a year, and minimize our risk.Id say barca don't want it because if he is crap for us we will just send him back anyway, even if the option to buy is in the contract and they are no further on. But if he turns into a beast then they will have clubs knocking on the door to buy him for alot more than we are putting on the table at the moment.
It's a risk worth taking for them i think.
At this rate the club is actually going to be state owned before long. How they haven't been wound up is beyond me.
In 2020 they owed €23 million in tax and social security, fuck knows what it is now with the accumulated interest.
Which is what I said.
I’m sorry my older ibérico friend!Which is what I said.
I would strongly advise against taking me on with regard to linguistic matters. I will crush you mercilessly grammatically, syntactically and lexically.
