I'm alright with Enrique if theres some long term vision involved with it. Meaning theres a plan for the club to play in that way in the future even if Enrique leaves the club in a few years.
Enrique is essentially part of the Pep school and thats the brand of football that wins at the moment so it's not a bad idea. It can be boring depending on what you prefer to watch but it can also lead to success.
People often talk about whether Mourinho/Conte ball is worth it as long as we win games but I think the real question is if the Pep/Enrique style of play is worth it. Pragmatic defensive football is pretty much dead and doesn't even yield results like it used to, its lose lose.
The real question is are you ok with possession based football that is based on keeping the ball just so the other team doesn't have it and slowly prodding the opposition to eventually find an opening.
I think switching to this style of play can be worth it but only if we stick to it. It will probably take time for that style of play to be properly implemented so if the board get Enrique they need to stick with it even when the results arent good.
I don't give a shit if we're 10th this time next season, just stick to your fucking plan.
