What should he do? Never coach again?

It’s not Woolwich anyway. If both clubs are looking for new manager and Tottenham clearly didn’t call him, he should reject Chelsea because?

Why would he not coach again?

I couldn't care less if he goes to Chelsea and I wouldn't want him back here either.

Do you not think it would be embarrassing if our fans are chanting his name when we play Chelsea next season (if he's in their dugout) ?

Poch is brave if he does got to Chelsea. Not because of being ex Spurs, but because of how shit his time at PSG was, if he has a shitshow at Chelsea as well… he’s stung for life.

Making a last minute panic call to Poch on the basis of nostalgia would be the stupidest thing we could do. No thanks.

Different situations I know but remember CR7 was on the verge of joining City and then United called? How did that turn out? The point is we shouldn’t panic for Pochettino

I want Poch to go to chelsea. It will piss off chelsea fans and the weird section of our fanbase who treat him like their dad.

I think he'll do ok but nothing amazing, which is the best we can hope for.

Chelsea have raw, young talent. Poch would do much better than what people are expecting him to do. The good thing is that it seems that Chelsea have fuck all money to spend, so he's got to work with whatever is there.

I guess the big question there is did we show any interest?

If he chose Chelsea over us, it's definitely his fault.

If he just chose to work back in the PL for a club because we weren't interested, then it's not entirely his choice. Levy et all had a role in it and it's much tougher to blame Poch for that choice.
Fair. But then the question is if the club has some sort of moral obligation to take him back just because he is available.

A lot of what I see from the overarching online fanbase is that we have to have Poch just because. It seems incredibly emotionally loaded rather than logical.

I won't blame the guy for taking the Chelsea job if we truly haven't reached out to him, or if he and Spurs could not come to a agreement. He has to work after all.

And him taking a job at Chelsea will only see him back here eventually.

If Poch goes there he’s dead to me

Think it’s him forcing levy’s hand though personally

Poch is a professional manager not a professional Tottenham fan. He would be daft to turn down an approach from Chelsea.

I’m sure he waited for us to make a move first, but as that doesn’t seem to have happened I don’t begrudge him going there. If Hoddle can manage Chelsea then Poch certainly can.

What angers me is that Chelsea seem to be well advanced in their recruitment process while as usual we are “monitoring” managers, “considering” moves and “exploring” options. It really does seem like Levy offloaded all the football responsibility onto Paratici and is now frozen with fear as this decision is now squarely on him at a time when his football judgment is under excruciating scrutiny. As opposed to his deliberate dithering this appears to be him genuinely panicking.
