I may be in the minority here, but I'd rather we spent big on Eze than buy Orban.

25, English, experienced in the Prem. Importantly could cover Maddison, Son and Kulu injuries if needed. Sort of player us fans would love and really get behind.

I've shit on Royal as much as the next guy but I actually think he's tidy in this system.

Feels a lot more secure with him there. Okay you wont get the great deliveries of Porro but you also won't concede on every attack.

Re-watch Brentford's 2nd goal and tell me our fans wouldn't be flaming Porro if that was him.

From the dead ball Emerson gave Henry all the room allowing an easy long ball. Then he gets beat for pace/strength.

I'm not trying to rip Emerson. Think he's an ok squad player, but Porros's attributes will be far more useful once the squad starts playing with more cohesion

I don't think it's either or, Orban would cost probably like a 1/3 of Eze.

People were having fits about us not buying Alex Scott but what's funny is, Devine has played next to Scott in the England juniors set ups for years (from u17 all the way up to u19 and u20 major tournaments) and by all accounts, has been the slightly better player of the two, or at least equal, despite being a year younger.

Give this kid a couple years in the championship and I think we may just find that we have our own Scott.

And neither will you with Porro. Royal or Porro in a front foot aggressive possession based team? Porro for me. Royal isn’t this great defender that he’s made out to be. I do think he’s better defensively than Porro but 65 % of the game we will be attacking. Porro is quicker, better touch, better passer, better in tight areas, better crosser and will chip in with more goals.
In pre season Porro has played 2 x 45 mins and he needs time to get used to the system the same as the rest. He was signed as a RWB and I think he’d be very good at RW but he will still be a very good player for us at right back.
