The goal keeping coach that has ruined every one of our keepers....
From Sullivan to Robinson to Gomes
Oh dear another clueless Yank, the whole point is that they could've been, therefore the red card did not turn the game it just compounded our misery. That game may well have finished 5-0 without the sending off. Christ, you are thick. Decent American football fans are so few and far between, much like good managers.
Hans Segers was Paul Robinsons Coach.
Screaming of denial when people would rather blame a squad of players than question AVB.
He's being set up to be a martyr by some who seem happy to ignore all our failings this season just because if we gave him enough time we'd win the league..
Andre Villas-Boas had wanted to leave Tottenham since Paris Saint-Germain expressed an interest in him in the summer but did not want to walk away from his contract until the club were ready to part ways with him, sources close to Spurs told BT Sport.
Tottenham have known of Villas-Boas’ unrest for months and have been making plans to secure a successor since he told them of his desire to leave but they are yet to finalise a deal for a replacement.
The Portuguese parted company with Tottenham today in the wake of the club’s humiliating 5-0 loss at home to Liverpool, despite telling a post-match press conference yesterday he had no intention of walking away.
White Hart Lane bosses will turn to Tim Sherwood to lead the side in Wednesday’s Capital One Cup quarter-final clash against West Ham, but behind the scenes the club are working overtime to sign up former England manager Fabio Capello, who worked alongside technical director Franco Baldini while at the FA.
Sources close to Tottenham say Capello is the outstanding candidate for the vacancy but supporters are calling for former Spurs and England boss Glenn Hoddle to be installed immediately, in what would be an interim role.
“
Supporters see Glenn Hoddle as the best man in the short-term."
BT Sport contacted Hoddle but he declined to comment on any speculation on his future, that also sees him linked with the West Brom job. It is understood, however, that his heart lies with Tottenham and he would have no hesitation in choosing them over the Baggies.
Capello is currently manager of Russia and is set to lead them to the World Cup finals in Brazil this summer, meaning an interim would need to be in place until July at the earliest.
Supporters see Hoddle, who was a White Hart Lane favourite during his playing days, as the best man for the short-term job, despite his failure as manager during his two-year spell at the club between 2001 and 2003.
Former Spurs and England striker Gary Lineker is also backing Hoddle, tweeting: "AVB has been sacked by Spurs. Would love to see Glenn Hoddle given another chance at this level. Has a brilliant football mind."
Tottenham announced the departure of Villas-Boas in a statement on Monday morning.
It read: "The club can announce that agreement has been reached with head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, for the termination of his services.
"The decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties."
Could mean we have a replacement ready. Could be some clever PR from AVB's side.BT Sport claim AVB wanted to go since the summer:

Up until the red card we had been attacked heavily but we were *somewhat* resolute. Both goals (especially the second) just happened to fall kindly to Liverpool(Not to mention our back line consisted of the two slowest CBs we have against an amazing talent in Suarez). Even the first goal. Daws made a crucial tackle it just didn't clear favorably and Henderson picked it up and made one pass. BAM. Goal. Every goal after the red card was almost entirely due to our lack of shape and being down a man. Also, just before the red card we had begun to dig in and pepper Liverpool's goal. All I am saying is that the manner in which we lost cost AVB his job and we lost in such an embarrassing fashion because we were a man down to a top class Liverpool side. As for the Yank dig, unnecessary and unoriginal. Move along.
Is Fruend actually any good or do we just love him because he's one of the lads and endearing? Doesn't he coach our strikers?

On the whole Yank thing I never used to think like that but recently you lot are doing my nut in, there are some very ridiculous opinions being bandied about and I don't know whether it is coincidence or not but they all seem to stem from you mob over the pond.
Ok. He's only worked with German youth teams before this AFAIK.. love the bloke but just wondering what people think of his coaching abilitySteffan is assistant coach
Calm down on the anti American tone pls. There's no need for it. Thanks

We thank you for your incisive anaylisis of AVB.He just never learnt from his mistakes..
You'd think that anyone who'd just seen their team ripped apart by West Ham without a striker, then 6-0 to Man City would have learnt that the high line is not working, but not this stubborn idiot, he carried on with it so rightly paid the price.
It cost him his job at Chelsea and now with us, he can only blame himself.
heard Lamela talking with a cockney accent today
We thank you for your incisive anaylisis of AVB.
if this is true that means AVB intentionally ruined us for his own gain which is what Redknapp was doing. So he was a cunt all along? I think it's a case of damage limitation from AVB, so his reputation isn't too badly tarnished. So these stories are 'leaked' but the fact is even a famous CNN reporter Pedro Pinto was very damming about AVB and his short comings.
