Yeah I think 5th is in the bag but 4th was there for the taking.IF and it's a big IF we win the Burnley and Sheff U games we'll definitely finish 5th.

Usually you can pick one attribute that you can see why a player would be at your club but with him I see nothing decent. He’s not good at anything. This is Tottenham and he’s playing left back for us! It defies logic. He’s wouldn’t even be decent in the championship.
Well done sir- sounds like a lovely dinner.Totally ignored the game. Honestly have no care with the result. Players zoned out weeks ago so to fuck if I’m going to waste any emotion or energy over them and the shadow of what was once a beautiful football club. That no longer exists.
Spent the afternoon cooking a lovely roast of Scottish sirloin, subsequently devoured and washed down with a lovely bottle of some perfectly aged Primitivo. Whole hungry family very well fed and watered for less than the price of one home ticket at the Kart Track NFL Complex.
Think I’ll stick to the memories from now on.

Powerful, but not elusiveI'm coming around to this opinion too..
If he can't spend the summer and more working on his right foot and adding another movement or technique to his game then he will be nothing more than a 'what could have been'
Ohhhhh1st goal Royal tries to keep the line with Mickey which is completely busted by either Porro/Romero one of whom is two yards deeper.
2nd goal was Porro and our midfield completely missing as Robertson tapped in.
3rd goal Porro loses the ball softly to Robertson. Royal is initially one out with Salah and wins the contest but no one helps and Bentancur doesn't even shout as Elliot comes in to take the ball.
4th goal Bentancur doesn't even bother to tackle Elliot.
Royal is a second string player being played out of position. He's an easy scapegoat for the mob but the real responsibility for all of those goals is on our 1st team players and manager.
I'm surprised Johnson wasn't carded for headbutting Gomez's fucking foot!Thinking about it, with an honest referee it should have been a penalty AND a red card because Gomez stopped a certain goal with Johnson about to score.

You can when it’s against Spurs. We receive all sorts of abnormal interpretations of the rules.I'm surprised Johnson wasn't carded for headbutting Gomez's fucking foot!
You just CAN'T DO that in todays' game!!
Is so fucking ashame this was not been talked about more. Where was the cunt Neville when he's always the first voice in getting us sent off for way innocuous fouls. Why were we always have to be at the receiving end of such injustice. People assumed we had lost and the foul was immaterial. But Liverpool made it a national hoohah in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. By their logic, we could have scored a pen and equaliser later as they are one man down.Thinking about it, with an honest referee it should have been a penalty AND a red card because Gomez stopped a certain goal with Johnson about to score.

He's off in two games time.I have enjoyed watching Lo Celso the last few times he has played.
I would far rather have him starting than Kulusevski in the middle or Bentancur in that creative role.
(I still like Kulu and Bentancur, just in other positions!)
Anyone can compete when the pressure is off. Liverpool took their foot off the gas and put on kids. We've been battered four times in a row and I wouldn't be surprised if we draw or lose to Burnley as well at this rate.
Actually Porro is the more common denominator - which is entirely my point.Ohhhhh
So despite that he's the common denominator, it's actually everyone else's fault.
Thanks for clearing it up.
Been saying massive clear out for 5 years have you? Who in the squad was here 5 years ago? Son, Davies, anyone else? Ridiculousflicked through the match there and glad I decided not to watch it - knew exactly what would happen.
The awfulness continues - bring the summer on, I don’t even care what happens with the last games tbh .
Massive clear out needed and we have been saying that for 5 years now at least.
Won’t happen
I would love to hear the VAR explanation as to why that was not a pen.Thinking about it, with an honest referee it should have been a penalty AND a red card because Gomez stopped a certain goal with Johnson about to score.

I think he means we keep adding duds even when we clear some out. & we always have way too many duds. We seem to have at least 7 or 8 players we could get rid of & not miss.Been saying massive clear out for 5 years have you? Who in the squad was here 5 years ago? Son, Davies, anyone else? Ridiculous
How’s this for a bit of cross~thread pollination: if you go to Off Topic / Broken Britain , page 9 : ” The state of .. posted by Sean 2 Nov 2023. Take a look . It’ll only take a few minutes ….
I hate , hate to say it but this is where we’re at right now . Until it’s all gone wrong ( with planning and tactics and personnel) . Right people , wrong place maybe - but it’s all clearly going to shit . Then , when it’s clearly not going to end well ; a reinforcement comes along with a change of plan and takes charge with brute force and energy . But we’re already 4 down and the scene ( please watch it ; is a clown show that can only end badly ) . What we’re watching is art imitating life . What it used to be , watching us was a different thing all together. In the film ( please watch it ; ) the copper ends up in the gutter . We’ve all been there . Yet , at one time, this club would have us looking at the stars . As the comment by Sean went ” the state of this ” ….
