Yeah fully agreed and now that Kulusevski has played false 9 he’s got a better understanding (maybe) of where his goals can come from playing through the middle.

Really just a winger and a LB and we are in good shape
Yep. A lot of the chatter was that we had 3 signings lined up (Post Gray).

So would make sense for the remaining two to be RW + LCB/LB.
Though I also wouldn't be surprised if one of them is more of a goalscoring midfield type (e.g Ramsey). Ange seems to have a hard on for this profile.

I would just go Eze and Chiesa and sack off the LB until Jan (though really we should be able to do all 3).

I am not questioning that. I preferred Toney or even Alvarez or even a player with a better pedigree in terms of trophies but club signed Solanke, he's a Spurs player now and am totally behind the new signing, Hope he does well scores 20 plus in the PL and 10 plus in the cups. Realistic expectations for a Spurs fan and achievable target for a £60m striker.
The future will tell if right signing BUT defo ain't a marquee signing. The likes of Haaland, Mbape, Messi, Ronaldo, Bale are/were. The gap is huge so let's not compare.
I don't remember Solanke being mentioned in this thread until few days ago, Toney was.
Ange has literally said he was like the high target.

He also scored more goals that Alverez, and Toney's previous season. Toney also scores loads of pens. 🤣

Watch the 442 video. It might make you feel better. And watch the reel of Solanke's goals last season.
