I understand the sentiment and this is not just about transfers, we've had 3 different managers in that time too, as much as we have needed change on player front, we need stability in management,
I don't know if we are running the same team though, better, worse or a similar level, the question is whether the new set of players will be better than the old, you don't know and neither do I. On the point about signing big names, it hasn't worked for us because the players we've bought who stood out haven't traditionally been big names,
Modric/Bale/Dembele/Berbatov/Alli - these weren't players who came in with huge reputations or massive fees, do I think Solanke is the next Berbatov? Probably not, but he could improve us and we need time to judge his impact, like all of the new boys, we need to give them a chance based upon what they do for us.
You might be right, we could have bought slop, but you really can't call it that till you've tasted what's been served up.
I just get the feeling Gray, Bergvall, Solanke and Oddobert, at least a couple of those might be better than slop. I am not saying we should expect these players will win the league for us but if they improve us, then surely that's not a bad thing?

I bet Ange gives more mins to Lankshear than Richy.
I reckon the plan for the club was to sell Richy but he didn't want to leave so we're gonna give him limited mins which will push him out the door.
Thank god he's finally gone, was hilarious watching people calling for him to start once Maddison's form dropped off last season because he had a good 20 mins at the end of a game vs Villa or someone as if they didn't know he was about to be injured with some random fucking hamstring problem for another 3 months. Then magically get fit in time for the next Argentina matches.

Crap window for us, bare minimum yet again and managed to leave us short in several areas.
Going to be a tough season, maybe we'll do well in at least one of the cups. Better for as can see us struggling in the league, top half but most likely end up 7th or 8th.

I don't think we can really afford to do that, I don't think it's a coincidence that N'dombéle reappeared in the squad at the start of 3 new managers only to be quickly banished once it became clear he was untenable as a player, I think Levy will be leaning on Ange to keep Richy in the shop window with minutes even if he doesn't see him as a long term part of the squad. Wouldn't be surprised if Lankshear ends up with a loan in Jan even if Moore manages to get more pitch time.
