If we beat Newcastle i might have to go and get excited about this team again. Can i afford to do that?

We need a thread to talk about how the other games affect us during the season. Table leaders Brighton and Arsenle drop points
If he picks that front 3 in those positions I’ll be very surprised.Vicario
Porro - Romero - Micky - Udogie
Sarr - Bissouma - Maddison
Odobert - Kulu - Son
Ange doesn’t play on the breakI don't remember the details of last season's game except the score. I just think Newcastle will be pressing us back and we need to try and catch them on the break.
The problem for me is without Solanke or Richarlison crosses are more or less a waste of time, so be as well playing narrower. So when we get a counter going we have two or three players heading goalwards.
They did us 5-1 whilst already relegated, our last 2 games up there have been 6-1 and 4-0 losses. In the Sir Bobby Robson period we used to get battered regularly by them.

Our best results were in the Ashley years when they were more or less a Championship side.
It’s just one of those northern hell holes we fall apart at regularly.
That said, got a feeling we might pinch a draw tomorrow
Poch did have their number other than the 5-1. Last 2 games have seen them score 10 against usSpurs last 10 PL games at St James' Park. Won 6 , drew 1, lost 3.
No, no, no. I have it on good authority from this thread that we always get pumped up there.Spurs last 10 PL games at St James' Park. Won 6 , drew 1, lost 3.
2 wins and a draw from the first 3 games is more than decent so you should be happy. If we beat Newcastle i might have to go and get excited about this team again. Can i afford to do that?

The doom spiraling from some on here is ridiculous. Why even bother?
Some fans on social media were shocked by the decision, with renowned Woolwich fan Piers Morgan taking to X to write: "This is the worst red card decision in football history."Unless they change the rules. Or Arteta gets it postponed again.
Neither would surprise me.
He has his strengths as a forward. Excellent finisher, quick and sharp on thru balls - but as you say can’t hold up the ball and his touch is shaky under pressure. 50/50 away games are an issue, you can get away with it at home and against other weaker teamsSon played CF against Everton last week right? He seems to be first choice after Solanke and Richarlison who are both injured.
I'm not saying that's where I want him to play I just think Ange sees him next in line in the CF position.
I agree he's not good at holding the ball up, and neither is he good at getting onto crosses.
I agree!
Hope it goes well and you all have a lovely dayWill miss the game tomorrow as, the eldest is getting married and phone will be on silent, probably a good thing.
I think if the team gets a draw then, has to be considered decent after the last two weak appearances up there.
