Although I agree with that. Bentaleb and Xavi are not even close to alike. Xavi is much more incisive and forward thinking passer. Nabil doesn't have the confidence (yet) to back his passing into making such passes. All very sideways. Not criticising him, he's been good but he's not comparable to Xavi imo.

Xavi's best part of his game has nothing to do with his passing ability and his passing is arguably the best in the world. His ability to dictate tempo and control the match off the ball is second to none. Bentaleb has this ability which is unseen by most, albeit not top notch yet, but, he is only 12 years old.

I think it's far too early, whether unseen or not to attribute Nabil with that. Looks a tidy, technically sound player but he hasn't dictated or controlled any match thus far. But, as you say, he's a toddler. Comparisons to other players need to wait, especially since he was a more advanced player in the yoof so people only 6 months ago would have been saying he's of a different ilk.
