We could have done the same with all the property we have but levy wasn’t clever enough to think of it..

That is just not always true. Sure it feels true, but it's not.

In the FA Cup we are 6th in Semi Final appearances and the League Cup we are 5th, which pretty much directly aligns with our spending.

You would also have to concede that before we moved stadiums we were playing catchup with many clubs too.

Like most things in life, this isn't as black and white as many make out.

We haven't been to an FA Cup final since 1991.

We've reached the Semis 5 times under ENIC, but that's really scraping the barrel as a measure of success.

Yes, but revenue isn’t profit. As you say, the enterprise will need “some investment” but that’s the problem. Us Spurs fans here just want a successful football team but that - as we well know - will need a whole lot of investment and whoever comes in with £2.5 billion will certainly not just want it to be a football team, they’ll want it to be a revenue\profit\cash generator and I remain wondering what type of buyer we will attract.
