Is that Nbombele?

If this is right, and it’s coming from more than one decent source , there must be problems with Romero’s injury.
If he is due back in a couple of weeks we would have him plus Micky, Danso and Ben. Plus Archie if required.
Disasi is a disaster , as nicknamed by Chelsea fans. Or it’s just a cover story when we are after someone else.

Don’t really understand it if it’s any kind of CB now tbh.

Romero returned to training before VDV, I doubt it’s really that bad.

Listing it this way, however, is very misleading as almost all of these are substitute appearances under 30 minutes.

LW - 33 (1188 min): 7G, 5A (99 minutes per goal contribution)

RW: 14 (439 min) : 4G, 1A (88 minutes per goal contribution)

CF: 33 (822 min): 5G, 1A (137 minutes per goal contribution)

All about context.

Situation is relatively new. Dragusin injury and it seems that Romeo being more injured than we thought was a recent thing.

Never going to happen but perhaps we just took a punt on the off chance while bidding for danso
Is it though? Gray has been playing more than 4 games at CB, surely?

We still needed more CB cover for Romero, VDV and Drag. Granted Big Ben can cover and now we know Gray can too.

I hope he's woken up and we are looking at a change of policy. I really do.

Guehi is exactly the type of player and the type of money this club should be looking to chuck around on the regular.

Even if it didn't come off that is the kind of player we should be going for, not buying two for £35m each. Get the £70-80m ready made player in through the door.

Here's hoping he's woken up
Here's me hoping:

Fair but Gray is considered a DM and Ange I believe has already spoke about midfield being his long term role. At this age you can end up a bit around the block before you settle down and if he is capable of being useful on the wing then why not for now.

Definitely.

I don’t hate the idea of him starting RW vs Liverpool and Kulusevski playing in the middle.

But I do think we will see him play # 9 plenty as well
