Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

How did we get 5th the season before then? Luck? And that was without a striker.

He's got most of the squad back between now and the end of the season; and he's got a cup to win. Let's back him, cheer on the team and wish them success.

If the end of the season comes around and we show zero improvement: even with a full squad; for sure a decision will need to be made.

We aren't privy to what has happened behind the scenes. I get the impression that a lot more has transpired than just a bunch of injuries.
Because of a very good 10 game period. Then everything fell apart against Chelsea. Then we got a few victories in batches while being battered by a Newcastle side 4-0 who had an injury crisis, While we only had Richarlison missing. Ange is shit and an amateur at best and earned his the majority of his wins when people struggled to read our play because no one would be so stupid to play the way we do.

You listen to this, you watch his face, you judge his mannerisms.
He believes his own hype. He's not lying per se, he genuinely believes everything he says.
As do his weird little cult of fans.

I can’t face listening to him any more, it’s all bullshit. The 3 journalists on this week’s The Tottenham Way think he’s a goner now. The only thing that saves his job is the europa league and even then they aren’t sure.

If we lose to Southampton they have to sack him, surely?

The alternative is Mason, managers we have been linked with won’t be available till summer at best. There is also optics, being a club that always sacks managers mid season doesn’t exactly make us look nice for any potential new managers we might try and persuade. The league is already a write off and we ain’t getting relegated. The concern should be who next, we must get the next appointment right and that is what the club to prioritise.

I'm there with you now. Used to actually watch his pressers for probably the first 3/4 months, as seemingly he was turning the oil tanker he kept mentioning.

Now its just waffle and self heralding nonsense.

He's found out he is not as great as he thinks he is, and people are seeing past his bullshit. Especially the Spurs fans. We Havent heard the Postecoglu song for a long long time.

Next manager must be good with developing players. We can’t have a manager given Gray, Bergvall and probably the likes of Cordosa, Dibling and isn’t a specialist at building up younger players.

New manager bounce, including some lucky results (Liverpool ) followed by mediocre mid table form, cup failure and no Europe. That's how.
It wasn't even new Manager bounce IMO. It was just so early that he hadn't had a chance to coach all the talent out of the players.
Most of them, if not all of them, have gotten worse the more they play under him.

I wouldn't be surprised if our league form doesn't improve, to see Levy do another Mourinho and bin him even if we're in the ropey league still.
It would be harder morally to sack him with a medal but there's so much smoke now about other managers that it feels like the decision has already been made.

In the past 40 years spurs have got past the last 16 only 4 times.

1 ECL QF (2010/11)
1 ECL Final (2018/19)
2 X Europa QFs (2007 2013)

If you don't think getting into the QFs of Europa is not a big deal, you are deluded.

Mourinho couldn't do it. Conte couldn't do it, and the much celebrated Poch only managed it once.

It seems were are conditioned to celebrate qualifying for the competition instead of actually competing in it.

Ange has got us within 5 games of European glory. SUPPORT HIM.

FFS... can we all stop saying x manager has got to be better than Ange. If the bar is better than Ange we are truly fucked. I don't want our next manager to be chosen because he is better than Ange. Using that logic, a bloke from Oklahoma who has never watched a game of football in his life would be a candidate for the job. We all have to stop using that riposte when somebody challenges your point of view on who our next manager should be... you have a reason you chose that particular manager and it's not because "he's gotta be better than Ange"... we are Tottenham fucking Hotspur and our manager should either be one of the best, most decorated managers in the game... or a young up and coming genius who is revolutionising the game and doing it with success at a club a click down from Spurs. That means NO to Frank, NO to Iraola and NO to Silva... these are middle of the road managers who can get a tune out of middle of the road teams with limited expectations. Yes, they are all infinitely better than Ange but none of them move the dial for me. I know what is coming... "well who would your pick be"... So for the record, I would see if I could temp Scaloni who has pretty much won everything with the Argentine national team and whilst I don't know for sure, I would wager he would want to try club football at some point... bit of a gamble as never been a club manager but he's a winner who is flexible with formation and who builds teams through defensive solidity, camaraderie (not the left winger from the Nag's Head in Peckham) and maximising key players. As a club we have have an affiliation with Argentina. It would be a tough sell but he took over Argentina against a chorus of opposition and transformed them into ruthless winners. I am sure many of you will be a no for this one. If it was for the Woolwich connection I would also be quite tempted to sound out Emery. There isn't many young managers... Someone like McKenna is interesting but I'm not sure he is quite ready for the jump just yet.

Hilarious!! How you, Mr 7 can call anyone on here deluded - when most of what you spout is the ramblings of a madman with his eyes closed
