I don't think anyone is arguing with his comments though, they have been awful in the PL this season, just like Spurs have been. It's probably more difficult to win the Carabao cup than the EL, We have more chance of beating United in the EL cup final than either of the teams that played in the Carabao cup final.

Let's not denigrate everything we fcuking do.

You could argue by the sane token that PSG only got to the CL final because of the drop-off of other teams.

I still think we are underdogs, partly because it's United and because of the absence of Maddison, more than Bergvall but the season runs to May 21st, and that feels fantastic, despite the multiple bouts of flatulence it will lead to.

My goodness. The number of keyboard warriors spoiling for a fight and aggressively jumping on anyone who does not share the exact same opinion, amongst fans of the same club, is truly shocking. This forum has become a manifest of bitter hate and ignorance.

Heres the reality:

-We managed to get the easiest path to the EL final beating subpar competition.

-the players clearly abandoned “Angeball” in favour of actually winning the one off knock out games.

-if we keep Ange next season we will literally be 20th and relegated. Especially if we win the EL. His ego will be through the roof and he will double down on his shite tactics.
Good god.

And other Spurs fans agreed with this drivel?!

And on game day if we get beat they appear, quite happy to come out with every negative under the sun, we win ……..you see them, nah no balanced opinion everyone is entitled to be negative or come out with something they think is wrong in how we played in a particular game but fairs fair and give credit where it’s due if there’s a positive then share it………..but some don’t or won’t .

We've had a blessed path to the final with the fixtures we've had.

And no CL teams dropped down.

The players have had to overcome Ange, as much as anything else, to get here.

Mason and Wells could have got us here with more pragmatism and common sense and less emotional duress.

We've had to players to do it.

Anyone thinking they're coming in here to 'own' anyone if we win, because our players overcame all the barriers put in front of them by this mug, can think again.

And when he goes you need to go with him.
Very appropriate username.
You obviously have the thinking capability of a tank.

It’s not just on here, but when it happens if we win it, then it is best ignored. Those looking to dig out other fans rather than celebrate a trophy win if it happens are obviously not the kind of people it is worth conversing about. Most people know what they’ve seen this season, seen what the standards have been like and are also delighted to be in a final with the chance of winning a great trophy. Most fans who celebrate winning will be those worth listening to, not just those digging out any fans for the sake of it.

Worst season in decades.
“What do you think a trophy would do for this club? The question answers itself, but what’s happening right now is that people are fearing that it actually might happen.

“Because it might happen, let’s see how we can tear it down or diminish it somehow by saying it’s been a poor season, or that we don’t deserve this or we don’t deserve that, or somehow comparing us to Man United.”

He's now trying to make themselves the underdog lol. Their pride will never allow that behind all the mics and cameras. They must be all so full of themselves in the name of Man Utd history. Let's hope that will continue be their downfall and we can smash them the hardest this 4th time.

He’s just being fucking honest. It’s actually refreshing to hear. Unlike Ange thumping his chest because it’s all he can cling on to - Amorim is straight up saying we are very bad, this competition is something we can cling on to but I am not doing well and this team is nowhere near a good level.

Ange meanwhile is bigging everyone up as if they’re champions of Europe because they beat Bodo Glimt and chatting about how he always wins in his second season. Egotistical, deluded shitbag.

mate, you were Ange out before he was even appointed
I was Ange out when he was in the womb...

:angesmile2:

spPadre24 spPadre24 This is a joke implying I was willing him to be born, not that I care about ratings, but you rating it sad makes me think you think I was suggesting something more sinister, so just want to clear that up.

Not surprising at all that you're embracing the coach of the opposition in a game against Spurs

‘Embracing’ lmao - I don’t rate Amorim’s work so far but at least he is honest. At least he doesn’t have a pathetic victim mentality like Ange. At least he doesn’t show off his huge hurt ego in every press conference like Ange. At least he comes across as measured as intelligent.

If Ange had just beaten Bilbao 7-1 over two legs he’d be out in the press beating his chess like we’d won the premier league. He’s doing it after beating Bodo. A pathetic man.

I can’t wait till the cunt is gone and I cannot wait till the fanboys go with him. Hopefully we win a trophy and he can run off in to the sunset pretending he’s a genius for beating THIS United side. If not, at least we are still rid of his stench which is a trophy in itself.

It is because of multiple reasons:

1. Levy / Lange left the squad short for a season with European football, the summer window was nowhere near ambitious enough.
2. Ange managed the squad terribly in the first 3 months. Overplaying Udogie after he missed most of pre-season recovering from surgery whilst overlooking Spence is probably the best example of how not to do things.
3. An incredible injury crisis. This was not helped by Ange ball's demands on player's hamstrings, but not all down to him either. Some were injuries that were just bad luck. But no team in PL history has dealt with the injuries that we did between Nov and Feb. We were down to 5th and 6th choice CBs at times. The injuries meant that the league was understandably over for us by end of Jan.
4. Not adjusting tactics in the league. The injuries were compunded by Ange not adjusting his tactics and insisted on playing out from the back and a high line with players not suited to it (Dragusin and Davie as a CB pair for example).
5. Focus on EL only. It has been clear that for the last month the club has prioritised the EL and Ange has picked teams to help squad fitness rather than to get results. I am happy with this - as most of you should be (as the debate on forums like this for years supports that we'd rather with a trophy and come 17th than finish 4th).

The key things right now are:
  • Ange has not lost the dressing room.
  • He has overcome his stubbornness and come up with game plans to get the most of his resources (as shown against Frankfurt and Bodø).
  • We are in a European final.
Pretty much agree with most of that. With the squad levy has given him then you can’t expect better than say 6-8th. & you are right that we clearly haven’t cared about the league over the last few months. & will do even less so with a final coming up! Same with united as well so I think both teams are really more mid table teams. I doubt either will finish this low again for a very long time.
He was very unfortunate with injuries but didn’t handle them well at all.
He has been less stubborn of late! just a shame it took him so long to realise/compromise. I think ang gets about 7th if we weren’t so unlucky with injuries.
Win the Europa & then it’s levy’s call!
