So what season did you enjoy more, the ones where we finished Top 4 consistently or this one? Don't get me wrong I hated the PL football, I have never felt such a disconnect from the club in my 40 odd years of supporting them, but that 1 night in Bilbao was fucking immense, that feeling of winning the trophy was better then any drugs known to man , but if your happy to be "top 4 is our everything" then I guess you are right, there isn't much to discuss.
I enjoyed the two best Poch seasons more than this one. As the great Angelos himself has said, it's in large part about the journey. We didn't win a trophy in those two years, but what a team we had. Could batter anyone. I'm not diminishing the EL either. It's massive and huge credit to Ange for it. But it doesn't erase getting hammered every weekend, and somehow make it better than peak Poch.

i hated every second of this season until a miracle late cup run and even the cup run was miserable until the whistle blew and we lifted the trophy. you only get the monkey off your back once and the emotion i felt after that europa league win will not be matched by a domestic cup next season and won't take the sting out of another lower table finish.

there is no reason or evidence to suggest next year will be any different other than we likely won't win anything and we'll still play shit football and finish in the bottom half. there are no green shoots or reasons to believe. ange is a fraud and a busted flush.

The real question is why did you change your username?

Are we cosplaying as someone else knowing that the great John Thomas cannot single out the board because we won a trophy

Me celebrating our long overdue trophy this past week

Surely you enjoyed the away game versus Man City though?

I actually despised this season but one night in Bilbao made it all worth it. It’s something a lot of us won’t experience again unless there’s a complete overhaul of our owners and how we go about our business regarding signings. For me it was a much better season than last season because we won. Everything about last week shows us all that we are massive and have the potential to be one of the biggest clubs in the world.

bittersweet. at that point i was checked out and continue to be. there's just nothing to believe in with this coach.

all this cups over league talk is ludicrous. most clubs don't win cups every year. you live and die in the league and the joy comes from seeing your squad play well and get scalps. that's what made poch's peak years so amazing. teams feared us every single week from top to bottom. that's where i feel joy. sure let's win something sometimes but if you think this is going to happen every year you're either still drunk or deluded.

Preferred Redknapps first full season with 4th as well. Going back a lot the Pleat season in 86/7 and others. Each to their own as a fan i guess but i like to be engaged in watching us play every week in competitive games even with no trophy rather than hating everything about the club for 98% of the season and then win something.

Teams feared us , but when push came to shove we reverted to form and Dr Tottenham and Spurys reared there ugly heads and all we have to show for it is a runners up medal from that night in Madrid!
Opinions are like Arse holes though, in that everyone has one, for me though I'd much rather win a European cup then the Top 4 trophy - its something we used to laugh at those cunts from south London under Wenger. The thing is Levy will be creaming himself that a large selection of our fan base are happy to never taste victory again as long as we finish in the Top 5.

we built a stadium on kane and poch's backs. we're not going to go 3 windows without buying a player again. i don't think the comparisons hold up at all. plus the evidence is on the pitch. we're a shit watch and poch's teams were thrilling

i'm stealing this from someone else and paraphrasing but it's worth repeating. ange is the drunken abusive dad who spent all the money and cheated on the wife and hit the kids who pulled it together for a few days and showed up with a new bike for your birthday. thanks dad, amazing! but you don't let him move back in and give him a credit card.

The fact Ange hasn’t won a single game against Woolwich or Chelsea is another major black mark against him. I want to get back to winning London derbies not knowing we are going to lose before a ball is kicked. Especially at home, performances against those teams have been horrendous.

And 17th in the league...we were a powerhouse under certain years with poch but I don't think that we have been that for a while...and certainly not with this bull shitter in charge...I

Hence why i Put "How ever many Years of ENIC have made a lot of people forget what a powerhouse this club is! "

The trophy parade showed how massive we are as a club, just hope the win in Bilbao is something we can build on as we shouldn't be waiting another 17 years for the next trophy!
