What people are missing is we have now set in place a position that is key in the team.

Whether this works out of not - chances are slim it backfires - we now use a designated DM.

And will be a key component going forward.

If it doesn't work out amazingly, then we look to upgrade OUR DM next summer.

Because we play with one.

Also, he's super prem experienced and will feel right back at home back in London.

I expect him to slot right in and get to work.

Only a loan and the option is ours.

GOOD SIGNING.

A proper DM - finally!

Great post

This guy couldn’t cut it in the Bundesliga.

Where are the “farmer’s league” morons now?
Apparently it’s because Tuchel with his Prem obsession pushed for him, they eventually got him but then sacked Tuchel. Then Kompany didn’t particularly rate him, I presume because of his passing ability, and then he got some injuries that kept him out.

Nice to see Scott - the pirouette - Parker being mentioned, although 'excellent footballer' might be in the direction of romanticism, reminiscing over something that at the time was hardly the case in point lol
He was the Premier League player of the season the season before he joined us, we kind of got to watch live as his age caught up with him in his third year here but he was excellent, incredibly consistent just ended up with Huddlestone and Dempsey around him and needed to cover too much ground.

Palhinha is just a story of Bayern wanting an elite destroyer to suit Tuchel then sacking Tuchel for Kompany who wants a passer instead. Opportunism from us but he was a great player at Fulham and beat the shit out of us multiple times. Long as we pair him with superior passes like Romero, Maddison, Bergvall we should be fine and I think our defensive unit is very strong now. I feel we still need another 8/10 player to cover Maddison though.

We both saw the same player and have different memories of him. For me, he moved like he had concrete in his boots. Five yard is what we used to call him and of course, his pirouettes were a sight to behold, wonderful stuff!

Don't get me wrong though, he did his thing and it helped but come on, 'excellent' ? Didn't spam get relegated that season?
