You have me at a disadvantage Sir...I'm aware we once bid £15m for Zaha, not sure we've ever bid for Eze or Wharton.
Honestly he looks the type of player we've been kind of needing, someone willing to get dirty if he has to.
This signing ticks a lot of boxes from the tactical set up, being a loan signing it will or should allow some funds for other areas.
They can give him one of them

Apparently it’s because Tuchel with his Prem obsession pushed for him, they eventually got him but then sacked Tuchel. Then Kompany didn’t particularly rate him, I presume because of his passing ability, and then he got some injuries that kept him out.
He was the Premier League player of the season the season before he joined us, we kind of got to watch live as his age caught up with him in his third year here but he was excellent, incredibly consistent just ended up with Huddlestone and Dempsey around him and needed to cover too much ground.
He's already cut it in the Premier League for two seasons.
Bayern got rid of Gravenberch a couple of years ago and he was probably the best 6 in the premiership last year, Kimmich and Goretzka are not far from being the best in the world at what they do tbf.
Palhinha is just a story of Bayern wanting an elite destroyer to suit Tuchel then sacking Tuchel for Kompany who wants a passer instead. Opportunism from us but he was a great player at Fulham and beat the shit out of us multiple times. Long as we pair him with superior passes like Romero, Maddison, Bergvall we should be fine and I think our defensive unit is very strong now. I feel we still need another 8/10 player to cover Maddison though.

It was a lot of things I didn't like during our years with Mourinho but his comments about "intelligent cunts" was spot on and that is pretty much exactly how I would describe Palhinha.
We both saw the same player and have different memories of him. For me, he moved like he had concrete in his boots. Five yard is what we used to call him and of course, his pirouettes were a sight to behold, wonderful stuff!
Don't get me wrong though, he did his thing and it helped but come on, 'excellent' ? Didn't spam get relegated that season?
