Better at the back than Ange? Do I really need to justify that with a response? Forest went from hard to beat under Nuno, to conceding the most goals in the league over night. Again, anyone could coach a defence better than Ange did. Not a big secret.
When did I say we don't commit men into the final third, at any point? My issue is that when we have the ball centrally, we pass it around a bit, then either backwards or out to the wing. That's it. That's what I'm disillusioned at. If you have plenty of examples that show the contrary, by all means, show me them.
I'm considering the statistics with the variables. Hence why I've mentioned that we've had a very favourable schedule, we've scored 4 goals over our expected amount, which is huge for this stage of a season. We're currently the third most clinical team in the league, and without a serviceable forward, that's not sustainable as long as we play the way we do.
I've given comparisons to Brentford, who are in a very similar position, in that 3 of their best players are no longer there, except they're being coached by a rookie manager, and are finding their feet. Pretty much every one of our players are better than theirs right now, but they can attack the ball, they can create chances.
All I want to see are shoots of improvement. I don't think we're winning the league or every match. But not being dreadful for the most part of 90 mins is getting hard to take. Again, going back to context, we've had a nice schedule. Couldn't really ask for better so far. After Leeds, the calibre of opponent picks up massively. Playing like we are now, there's going to be embarrassing results in there, because we're not coming from a goal or two behind every single game.
You're the one blaming everything on the last manager. Yet I'm the unhinged one. Right oh bud. I'll chat with you in December
