Crap replace with wharton
Should be our 5th midfield option. Bergvall, Gray, Sarr, Palhinha all ahead of him in the pecking order, with him and Bissouma only as emergency backups. Sarr was sort of average, and still was miles better than Bentancur, especially in the 2nd half.
I would if I had any confidence we could identify and sign 2 better players.
Don’t need a CM to replace him. If we do decide so, there are some good english options (to help us with HG quota as well) like Anderson, Wharton, Alex Scott etc.

You think we can get any of them here? I’m sceptical because i think we get second choice after the other big clubs take their pick of the best young players. We get what’s left.
He really wasn’t that bad tonight. Obviously needs upgrading but he isn’t the only one.
I mean the ball would have hit him otherwise. Better not get in the way of a powerful shot heading towards our goal. Safety first obviously.

yea it was very strange, was like he was getting out of the way for one of our own shots. think it just proves how slow his brain is.
Hope we only extended his contract so we can get a fee next summer. If Frank stays I'm dreading us signing Palhinha on a permanent and keeping Bentancur in the squad.
Was great a few years ago but just isn't it anymore post-injury. Looks like a lower-mid table CM atm and we desperately need better quality in there and someone who can actually bloody pass a football.

I think he’s a good player but it looked like he got out of the way for one of PSGs long range goals. (Taking shots from outside of the box is something I wish Spurs would try to do more)
I think he should interchange with JP rather than play along side, but agree if the opportunity arises move him on

Well, when I was watching the game, already in 1st half it seemed that otherwise it was working OK besides one factor - PSG players had too much room right in front of our box.
And surprise-surprise, the deepest (and also most central) CM based on average position was... Bentancur.
All of the youngster trio - Bergvall, Gray and Sarr provided some dynamic moves and interchanges. Helped to set up chances and progress the ball. While Bentancur was very busy passing it back. And despite that still only managed to deliver just 73% of passes ?!?
He was literally shit in shielding defense and shit in passing. Absolute nothing player.
But keeping him as nailed on starter is on Frank. He is so painfully obviously providing nothing. Defensively he is not even close to Palhinha. On the ball he is also worse than Pal. And mentally? Well should not even mention it. One celebrate successful tackle like a trophy won. Other tucks away from the shot, hides and then points fingers.
Across like 10-15 games, Bentancur is not better than bottom 5 / relegation side CM. Offers next to nothing in most games. Then has 1 in 7 where he does well. And then back to doing nothing defensively or offensively. Cannot carry so shit player that just keeps getting worse. Specially if you have likes of Bergvall, Gray and Sarr who still have potential to improve!

Worse than being a passenger, he's actually a liability, as occasionally the ball will be passed towards him only for him to slowly react/dither and lose the ball.
As for the 2nd PSG equaliser - he actually reacted quickly for once. Unfortunately, it was to prevent himself getting hurt by the ball and so he moved out of the way of Vitinha's shot - which had no way of going in until Bentacur took evasive action.
