Let the oppo run down the wings and score at will?Maybe there is something to it, they do have players who could do the things he wants his teams to do.

I don't think the crux of their problems are to do with Jota at all.
They'll miss his ability as a player of course, but their issues are down to their star men starting to decline, particularly Salah.
And integrating too many new faces in one go.
VVD isn't as good either.
Slot doesn't look like he has the answers at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised if West Ham beat them.
20 outfield hammies on the pitch at all times tooMaybe there is something to it, they do have players who could do the things he wants his teams to do.
Am I the only one getting bored of the Jota thing being used as an excuse for their performance s this season? He was a colleague and after five years playing there, maybe a friend.
I’ve lost friends and family members that I had known for a fuck of a lot more than five years and I just got on with life. Took a few days to get a reasonable sense of reality and normality. They’ve had five months.
Am I the one in the wrong here? Sociopathic, cunty tendencies? Or are the `Liverpool squad a bunch of over emotional pussies?
Even Andy Robertson was at it after the recent Scotland match. We gave him a pass as it was a big night, but if he tried that in a pub in Rutherglen on a Friday night, he’d get stabbed.
No, what you need to do is read the post properly. I'll help, "suggests their problems are mainly up front."Concede 7 goals and their problems are at front.
I need to think that through..

I was thinking more along the lines of keeping hold of the ball and not turning it over every few seconds but I take your point.
Sorry for your loss!No you're not.
I lost my Mum earlier this year. It affected my work performance for a very short time then, once the grieving process had passed the worst, maybe 1-2 months, I hooked into my work.
The whole thing smacks to me of excuses, looking for the sympathy vote to stave off too much criticism.
They're Liverpool, always the victims.

Absofuckinglutely, Liverpool the only club allowed to grieve obviously, as if they're the only club and set of players who goes through trauma...I remember when Conte lost 3 of his close friends in a year including Ventrone, was he or us offered the same kind of sympathy when we were losing, were we fuck.
They're just shit and underpeforming, people just need to accept it, always some sort of excuse...death can affect people in many different ways but using this as a catalyst for their bad form is pretty crass.
Thank you.

Do you know many grown men who, months after the death of a colleague, are still using their passing as a reason for underperforming at work? And we’re not talking one of them either. In addition, we have many in the media also offering this reason for underperforming.
As I said in my original post on the subject, I may well be in the minority here. Maybe happens a lot more than I know, just not so famously.
Extrapolation it may be, but just using my own life experiences to form an opinion. Basically like almost every other post made on this forum.
Stephen Warnock bringing up Jota in that one clip as a partial explanation as to why the team is ass was a really low and despicable thing to do.
I would put it down to the decline of Salah and VVD. It's finally one season too many for them.
As we found with Son and Kane, you can't replace players like that. City found the same with KDB, Silva and Gundogan.
I'm not comfortable with people now digging Slot out for being a shit manager. Winning the title like he did last season was pretty fucking incredible.
However, what I will say is consistency is the sign of a great manager. As Pep has shown, and unfortunately, Arteta is also showing by consistently having Woolwich up there challenging.
And if Liverpool fall away this season, it will probably show Slot is a good manager, but not a great one. Or great but not elite.
Their form, for the team they have and the money they spent is horrendous.
It's great to see though. They've been far too good a team the last decade. Practically unbeatable at Anfield especially in Europe.
All cycles come to an end. They've had an unbelievable one.
Slot most definitely cannot be classified as a great manager. Not even close. Let's not lose sight here or make statements that are baseless. Nor is Arteta at this stage. Very good, yes I would say.
As you rightly say,it's about consistency, but it's also looking at the players at your disposal and the competition at any given period. Slot will need to hope he has time to put things right or onto an even keel. He effectively beat one team last season in truth. Now, having been given 5 or 6 players.....
The one absolute plus is that it tempers the ppsters/fans on here who would be relentlessly talking about a so called proper board backing their manager, which would have been the case if Liverpool had been running away with the PL.
They don't know what to say at present. One trick ponies. Ha.
