To be fair... Most of OUR players have only actually PLAYED on it once or twice this season!!!I find it odd that the retractable pitch has not been investigated as one of the factors in the disproportionate injuries Spurs players have incurred in recent seasons.
The pitch was the world's first of it's type so any potential issues, regarding the safety of the playing surface, are an unknown quantity at present.
Some artificial and plastic pitches were historically known to increase the risk of injury. This was due to the layers beneath the playing surface.
Opposition players only play on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium pitch once a season.
Some Spurs players play on it for 19 league games and the other cup fixtures too.
If there was an issue with the playing surface then presumably the more you play on it; the greater your risk of injury.
The rest has been leisurely strolling around it!
