Wished this had gone in. It was a brilliant effort!
Eriksen really is becoming a beast at these free-kicks.

He's the best freekick taker we've had at the club for as long as I can remember. Bale produced a lot of great ones but was much more inconsistent than Eriksen. He almost always works the keeper.

As solid as Eriksen looked today, I get the feeling he's still trying to feel out his place in this "new" side.
I'm really not worried.

Eriksen is just used to being the focal point. Lamela is helping to carry the load now, so while I think Eriksen will have a quietly productive season, the team will have a more consistent element of creativity, rather than relying on just one player to do the donkey work.

It was really good to see Lamela, Eriksen and Chadli all interchanging as well. Makes it hard for opposition defenders to get settled and gives us a different dimension.

I think everyone (except amazing Eric) is to a certain extent. Because QPR didn't have the class to knock us off our stride, we, and the players got an early look of what Poch is about, from that point of view it was a happy flop of the fixture list.

The Southampton players said it took 6-9 months to get Poch's style, but as we have better players, it looks, on this evidence at least, that they are capable of getting there quicker than that. I think CE looked a bit embarrassed with the space he was getting today. So pleased for Poch not having to explain 2 draws and a loss in his improving English. A dream start for us all.

I think Eriksen has done well even when people think he hasn't played that well. E.g. the Schalke game where he played 2 of the best through balls you will see all season.

Really pleased for him now that he's not the only one in the final third who knows what he's doing, he was holding the fort attacking wise almost by himself and now the cavalry have arrived. Does a lot of special things, no look passes, exquisitely weighted reverse balls, top spin free kicks etc. He'll be one of our best this season no doubt.

Eriksen is an artist, it's players like him that make football worth watching. I'm still buzzing but then that could just be the copious amounts of ganja I smoke lol but the fact our squads massive potential looks to be FINALLY getting unlocked is fucking exciting stuff. Scousers next week is huge and them cunts are their for the taking.

Definitely. The guy is passionate about football, intelligent and skilled. A great combination for a young player. Will always respect him for rejecting Shitty.

Then you remember he's 22 and it's even better! :eriksenlol:

My good man the challenge has raised awareness and also raised $15.6 million. People are writing checks.

Think The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Is Stupid? You're Wrong. - Forbes

Giving money isn't synonymous with "awareness." Guaren fucking tee you well over half the folks that aren't directly affected by ALS who do the challenge aren't going to think twice about it in a few months. Just another stupid stunt people are pulling so they can show off and feel better about themselves. Intent matters... you can't just buy your way into being a good person, that's fucking dumb.

It's also getting way more social media air time and "awareness" over here than the Mike brown shooting in Ferguson, which is a fucking goddamn shame if I've ever seen one.

but anyway, Christian Eriksen is a hell of a player.
