Tottenham should never say no to playing in Europe, no matter the competition.

If we end up in the Conference league then we should make sure to end the season as the first ever winners of it.

Europa league offers a legitimate route into the Champions League, and any PL team that competes in the Europa League is bound to be one of the best 4 or 5 teams in the competition. As Chelsea and United gather momentum, Leicester looks a continuing threat, Liverpool recovers from injuries, and City remain the best team in the world, I do not think our chances for top 4 next year will be especially good. So I’d like to be in the EL to maximize our chances to get back to Champions League.

Not really a fan of the conference league, though.

I will always want to get into Europa League rather than not be in it. The teams at the top almost always are playing in Europe and still manage. The myth that the Europa League hurts your league form is still BS. United are cruising to 2nd despite going the furthest of any Europa League team, Woolwich are low in the league because they suck not because of Europa.

If you want to win a trophy winning the Europa is likely easier than FA or even Carabao Cup. City has won the last 4 Carabao Cups and as we saw this year puts up a strong team in the final. You will not face a team that good in the Europa League. The top 4 in the PL are likely stronger than the top 4 teams in Europa and are all in the FA and Carabao Cup. Europa League also brings with it direct entry into the top group in the CL group stage draw which is massive.

But more specific to our team I am really hoping we are going to have a ton of youth in the team next season that can benefit from playing in the Europa League. I also hope we have a manager that will trust them and not through Son and Kane on after 10 minutes if we aren't up 10-0 against LASK or Shrodiekflsadfajdskl FC. This could be a great time to give Skipp 90 minutes, see what Lavanier can handle at RB, Tanganga as CB, if Sess comes back see if he can handle LB. Lots of guys that could use playing time at a level lower than the PL and with less immediate stakes if they make an error or two.

I am 40 years old and Spurs have won 6 trophies in that whole time, three of those being before I was old enough to know what football was. If Spurs won the UEFA Conference whatsit I'd celebrate like a loon even if I was the only fan on the High Road to watch the bus parade.

Given the depth of feeling here I look forward to easy access to tickets for the final when we get there.

Well the good news is, it’s back in our hands, win our remaining three games and we’re in top 6 and a Europa League spot.

The bad news...well, have you seen us playing....

If we are in the Europa League or Europa conference next season, the manager needs to play the kids more.

Although we had a few youngsters make 15mins cameo, I like to see those cameos turned to starts instead. Players like Kane, Lloris, Son, etc shouldn't be making playing the these competitions until the knockout rounds.

This club never takes Europa League seriously so it's just a waste of time. Look at the state of the performances that got us eliminated last few times: 3-0 Zagreb, losing to Gent, 5-1 aggregate against Dortmund. A waste of time for these bottlers imo.

Fuck the europa league - ridiculous competition that drains the squad flying to the arse end of Bulgaria to play a bunch of plumbers every other week for the first 3 months of the season.

If I remember rightly the first time we finished in the CL spots under Redknapp we weren't pissing about in the Europa League.

Would much rather we didn't have to deal with it particularly with the rebuild that needs to happen next season.

I miss midweek matches. Lost at the weekend and now 8 days until another match. No I want to watch us in Europe. It allows for squad players to get mins, keeps our coefficient up and keeps us prepared for Europe. I still remember the year under Jol that we did not have Europe and lost first time in both domestic cups. 40 games. Woolwich look like missing out and we can at least hope for Europa or conference.

We will win the Conference league. First English winners, European trailblazers etc etc. Harry Kane will be satisfied and that will shut up all the pundits as we claim the silverware.

Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur. Bring it on.

17 games to win the conference league as Eng clubs enter the play offs in Aug (to qualify for the league) before the 32 go into the knock outs ahead of the final in - Albania

sorry but no. The travelling to these distant, remote places will be ridiculous - NO
Brilliant for the fans that go to matches.
We should always be in Europe and if it is in the new competition bring it on.
New places to go to and the away games will be attended by real fans and not Champions league band wagon wankers.

For me I'd love to be in the Europa League if I were an Woolwich or Chelsea fan because they give it a go, but Spurs never do so what's the point, given the fact that we generally do quite well in the CL yet always do so poorly in EL tells you that it comes from the top, ie don't bother prioritising this it's not worth it financially.
