From my recollection they were 'all mouth and no trousers'.
A few Spurs started to run initially, but they were promptly told by the others to stand their ground. As soon as we took a forward step, the scousers were on their toes.
That's how I remember it. They were harassing the escort to the station as soon as about 15-20 of us went through the police line they were like Usain Bolt.

Actually it was brown and beige - brown suit, and brown kipper tie with beige squares, IIRC. Obviously I was in whiteHaha!! Fair enough
