I notice that some of the posters defending the press conference are the same posters that had a go at Conte for his lambasting of the team/club and their failures to win trophies in his final press conference. The hypocrisy is delicious.

Conte said that as a parting shot after a shit result because he’d given up on his ability to fix it but still wanted the pay out for getting fired.
He called out the players and owners directly,
Ange said it from a place of still having the drive and determination to stick around and fix it. He also did it without calling anyone out or shifting the blame.
You never really know what players think about managers because they, quite rightly, have the good sense not to criticize the man who controls their playing time. I don't think Postecoglou has lost the team, I just think his system was easier to execute the first time teams saw it than the second. Where I think things could go wrong with Postecoglou is if things don't go well and he begins to be questioned by the front office or the media.
I know this forum has its moments, but this is the worst 24 hours on here I can recall. Taking Ange's quotes out of context on purpose doesn't impress anyone, it just shows an agenda.

you think theyve played with intensity to back that up in the last 5-6 games? im not sure they have. collectively as a team it has not looked good imo.
you compare the first 10 games and the last 10 games...theres a big drop off in intensity. cant blame fatigue, theyve played the least amount of games possible.

Who has twisted his words? Can you point me to an example? I watched his entire press conference from start to finish and took direct quotes from him, nothing was taken out of context.
It's very easy to sit here and say "It's taken out of context" because the majority of people won't sit and watch the entire thing so it's an easy way to discredit people who take issue with it to defend the manager.
And normally I would be the first to say when things have been taken out of context, there is no agenda here (at least from me) I haven't said I want Ange out, I am very critical of him due to recent results and he isn't helping himself with his arrogance and posturing imo.
You might not like that people are taking issue with it but have you ever considered that may be because YOU like him and it's actually YOUR bias that is making you upset about people calling him out for the way he addressed the questions put towards him?
When people can't have a balanced opinion on something it often means they are being disingenuous, it's ok to say "Hey, I like Ange, I think he's a good manager but I think he can improve in (insert ways here)" it doesn't have to be Ange defense force or Fuck Ange, both extreme positions imo.
Also, I don't like people making it a party atmosphere either but I don't see anybody doing that? Maybe I have missed it? A lot of what I am seeing is people saying this is a shit situation to be in, they don't want Spurs to lose but it's something that has to be done to prevent those cunts from winning the league.

Yes of course there were differences in what they said and (probably) their intentions but the overall point about a lack of success/trophies was the same.
If you can't see/admit that a manager making banter/jokes about his own clubs lack of trophies is stipid and patrionsing that's up to you. If you also can't see that trying to downplay a rivarly that has been around for over 100 years is (at the very least) stupid then again that's also down to you.
Yeah agreed but people are coping however in their own way, there's so many people here exposing their true agenda because they are trying to deal with the anxiety of tonight, we just need to get past this match and this place returns back to some normality providing we get the 'desired' result.
