I'm not saying he didn't. But the original poster said it was failed manager one after the other, which simply isn't true.

Also when Levy took over we were roughly 11th-14th place in the league. He then took us into the top 6 and established us as one of the world's richest clubs. The only other team that managed to break into that group in England were Man City, and they only managed it due to oil billions. Levy basically did it on a zero net spend, and under Poch we very nearly won the league and CL.

All the while the owners of the likes of Everton, Villa, Newcastle, Leeds etc - our rivals when Levy took over - were busy destroying their clubs and taking them into the Championship.

I don't like Levy and don't think he knows much about football, but those who moan about him and claim he's the only one holding us back have to explain which owner they would have preferred over the last 20 years who isn't connected to an oil state or the Russian mafia.
Levy’s curve - whilst a few huge bumps along the way - was generally upwards for the first 18 years. But since 2019 he’s completely undone all of it (on the footballing side) And 6 years is way too long and a sackable offence in any other job. Of course this isn’t any other job.

FSG at Liverpool completely dominated Levy from the same starting point and very similar resources. They were even behind us.

Brighton’s owners have been outperforming Levy for nearly a decade and managed to build a stadium.

Levy oversaw a period when Harry Kane came through the academy and won nothing. He’s a football criminal

The rose-tinted glasses for Poch are strange. So many weeks we watched the same slow, boring, patient build up. Just passing the ball endlessly around midfield. Zero urgency, even when down with a few minutes to play.

He had an elite talented squad; and was playing in probably the worse EPL since its inception - With City, Woolwich, Chelsea, United, Liverpool all transitioning through rebuilds.

Poch had 1 game plan. Keep the ball, play it safe, wait for Eriksen to find a pass.
We went unbeaten at home in a season, you will never see that again. We achieved 2 top 4 finishes largely playing at a ground that nobody thinks is a great football ground/pitch.
Poch wasnt perfect but my word what a ridiculous take on him.

I meant that they wanted him out back early December. They would have bought players in by now if they wanted to keep him. They just thought, let this play out and let the fans all turn on him and then we sack him
The fact the fans haven’t turned on Ange and are turning on Levy is absolutely a factor in whatever is going on at the club behind the scenes,

Usually by now we have been reading that the players don’t like the training or the tactics and then the fans start getting toxic.

The fact that hasn’t happened yet and players have called out the club instead of, that will be pissing off members of the board no end

We know that when we have been cooking under Ange, we have been excellent, and you could certainly see the foundations of a title challenge in the next couple of years.

BUT, once again, as momentum builds the board once again fails to back the manager.

After losing Kane; and still managing the finish 5th, despite a season littered with injuries - we lose experienced players in Skipp, Royal, Dier, Holjberg, Perisic - and replace them with Grey, Yang, Odobert, Solanke, Bergvall. 4 x 18 years olds and a striker who is bang average.

With our history of injuries - why on earth did well sell arguably our leader and best player last season in Holjberg????? A man that has never been injured. A warrior. Yet we kept Bentencaur who has a serious knee injury that will likely mean he never really plays at a decent level again; and Bissouma who plays every game like its a kickabout with his mates down the local park.

So, either the club acknowledges that we will be shite for 3-4 years whilst these kids learn how to play football; or they are entirely inept.

ANGE and his system can only be judged when he has the players available. Grey, Bergvall, Sarr, Dragusin, Moore, Odobert aren't ready to be starters. They should be getting minutes in cups, or off the bench. Not starting games. It's no accident that Liverpool don't have anyone under 21 in their squad; and their matchday squad is typically all 24+ with 1 kid rotated.

The experienced players in our squad are Richy, Solanke, Maddison, Bissouma, Kulu, Son and Romero. All but Kulu are in torrid form and none of them are leaders.
Your ludicrously over inflated opinion of the players we let go is one thing - but do you not think Ange had a big say in who he wanted to keep/let go? Ange had Dier, he never played him. Instead we got rid and bought Dragusin - does Dragusin look any better suited to Ange’s system than Dier did?
You think Ange had nothing to do with us piling in at the start of summer to resign Werner?
How about Spence, now one of our best players. We wouldn’t have seen him were it not for the injuries. And now we don’t have him for the Europa - how bloody stupid does that look now?? (which most of us thought at the time - so no hindsight there)

Elsewhere - you should probably apologise to your fingers for making them type most of that.

are you actually OK?

Something must happen today. At the very least a statement of support or dismissal.

But it's the weirdest accommodation of such paucity of results I have ever known.

Completely baffling.
It's very unlike Levy - Ange has definitely been given a lot more leeway with bad results than his predecessors.

Levy has usually pulled the trigger way before now so maybe he's hoping that with a few injured players back, something will happen.

Either that or we have no one lined up and he feels our position is too precarious to have someone like Mason take the reigns for nearly half the season that's left.

Or he's seen how it's panned out at Man U and is worried it will repeat itself here.

Or he has been taken over by aliens.

What I don't get with the AngeIn crowd is that they seem to prefer Ange over anyone. If we simply replaced him today, it could not get any worse. Especially if the replacement was only until the end of the season.

We could still end the season with some dignity. Showing that we don't accept clown football would be something. And listening to the fanbase who actually care about the competitive aspect of football should be minimum.

You must be gone when you're 15th with a squad like this after 24 games.

And the injuries are his own doing. Apparently he warned the medical team on his arrival that there would be many hamstring injuries.

There are good coaches in the championship. Give one of them a chance. They've earned it much more. I'm sure all of them would also have won the league with Celtic. They can't all play boring football.

You don't want to end with Sean Dyche as a caretaker.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the transfer window still being open, imagine we hire a new manager today to replace Ange, that new manager would expect some reinforcements in and with 2 weeks of the window still open there are no excuses for Levy, where as if we leave it until next month , Levy can promise the new guy he will get backed in the Summer!

Jesus Christ, how is he not sacked already. I was hoping to wake up and see his sacking on the headlines.

Fuck you Levy you bald prick.

Today will be a shit day.

I keep hitting refresh on the Sky Sports page hoping to see the article pop up that he's finally been binned. Though I suspect if he hasn't been by 12pm today he'll be in charge for Hoffenheim.
Just fuck off already..
