My theory is that levy wants to lower the expectations of the supporters because its cheaper / more Profit.
Sitting in midtable maybe a cuprun.
low wages expensive tickets pl tv money etc

After this season we will be grateful for a cuprun or to qualify for EL
It doesnt make financial sense for him to upgrade the squad pay higher wages and gamble on CL qualification or trophies

So its either just incompetence or / and he uses this ange saga to lower our expectations.
Spot on, my man.

That way next season when he ups the wage to turnover ratio to 45% and we finish say 8th, he knows full well his army of Shadies and Paris bots will be out there shouting how he's learned from his mistakes and now doing what needs to be done, we're acting like a big club, progressing in the table etc etc.

Levy is like them con discounts...jumper costs 100 quid, a week before the sales start the shop bumps it to 120, then brings the price back down to the original 100...but the big tag claims you're getting 20 quid off...bargain!!!

It makes one wonder why Levy & Lewis insist on keeping Angelos – who’s coached Spurs to the lowest point tally since 1912 and the highest injury causalities ever (?) – when they recently fired the following:

Pochettino was fired after years of overachieving years and went 3 transfer windows without signing a single player. Even reaching a first ever CL final for Spurs a few months before he was fired
Mourinho was fired with the team in 7th, and with a League Cup final less than a week away.
Nuno, whose Forest side currently sit at 3rd places, was fired in 8th.
Antonio Conte was actually 4th at his time of sacking.
Besides, Arne Slot was not hired (he dodged a bullet) because he wanted assurances and L & L refused to pay his buy-out fee.

My theory is that while the other head-coaches did not keep quiet about L & L ....Angelos does not speak out...
The day the fat bastard gets sacked will be a great day...cause I won't have to read your Angelos left, right & centre no more

lol told you he wasn't getting the sack. Every week people are like, that's it he's gone.
no chance, this is Levy's and Munns guy! They're gonna give him every possible opportunity to turn it around

So if reports are to be believed, we're doubling down on a manager, playing a system which isn't working (and hasn't done for quite some time). We're not going to give him the resources he wants to make that system work, and just roll the dice and see what happens?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Spence wasn’t banished for half a season. At least attempt to deal in facts. Spence was given a chance to earn a spot in the squad after years of not clicking with several managers in several clubs. He was the first defensive sub Ange made in the season, he also came off the bench against Coventry. Then he got injured. I’d say there was 1 maybe 2 games after that injury where I was thinking he probably could’ve got a chance. I think Ange was asked in one press conference then a game later he was playing.

Your last paragraph is waffle mate. You are just refusing to acknowledge that the club knew how he played football when they hired him and brought him to the club to do that. You really think Ange as stubborn as he is was ever in an interview saying that his philosophy was going to change?

Oh. Facts?
You like... are willing to talk facts?
Sure you are not mixing them up with your garbage that you try to serve as facts ?

Cause when we talk REAL LIFE FACTS in a timeline.
Spence got real meaningful amount of minutes on 18th September against Coventry. Literally helped to save the day with scoring equalizer.
Then rooted back to the bench, despite constant poor performances by Udogie.
Then on 29th September Ange was forced to throw him in for 2nd half vs ManU. Did well again, helped to keep clean sheet.
And then - rooted back to the bench he was. Transfermarkt lists him injured for round 9th and 10th and "not in squad" for 8th round too. So OK - lets assume 8th was also due to injury. But from 11th round he was factually on the bench.

But when did he got another chance? in 16th round!
So in first 15 rounds (40% of EPL season) he was available and ready to start at least 12 (!).
Possible 1350 minutes. He was actually given 64. So 4,7% (!!!) of playing time there.

ALL WHILE UDOGIE WAS DOING POORLY.
That is fucking definition of being banished. FOUR point fucking SEVEN percent of playing time when starter in his position was doing poorly. Facts.

Text exchanges between Ange & Levy...

Jan 1st

Ange: "Hi Daniel, hope you're well, mate. Listen, could really do with a LCB, LB, winger and CF. Possibly a CM too."

Levy: "No problem, I'll get Johan on it right away. COYS, Daniel. "

Jan 5th

Levy: "Got some great news for you, Ange...Johan's got you a backup keeper from Czech Republic. Only 21, plenty potential!!! COYS, Daniel."

Ange: "Yeah nice one, I'll have him. How about those key positions I highlighted, though?"

Jan 8th

Ange: "Hi Daniel. Any news?"

Jan 12th

Ange: "Hi Daniel. Just checking you got my text last week? Couple more lads got injured, really need reinforcements. Please let me know."

Jan 17th

Ange: "Sorry to pester you, Mr Chairman, but we're getting pretty desperate over here..."

Jan 27th

Ange: "Hi all, apologies for the group message but I can't seem to get a hold of Daniel and when I went up to his office this morning, his secretary had security escort me back down. Obviously a misunderstanding. What is happening with transfers? Anyone coming through the door today or tomorrow?"

Daniel Levy has left the chat.

Donna Cullen has left the chat.

Scott Munn doesn't know how to turn his phone on.

Johan Lange can't find his phone in the dark.

Gareth Southgate has waved at you.

Feb 4th

Levy: "Sorry Ange, was in the shower. COYS, Daniel."

He's had every possible opportunity to turn it around and he's proved he is fucking useless. The only thing he excels at is trying to front out fans.

If they honestly thought he was their guy they'd have backed him more in the summer and this window.

Udogie is the starting LB, Spence is the second back up RB. How many minutes was he expected to get?

You know he was out of the club last season and the season before under Conte?

Give it a rest mate, you are making a tit of yourself.

I can give Ange stick for the decision not to take VDV off earlier vs Chelsea. I can give him stick for starting Sarr instead of Reguillon vs Leicester. I can give him stick for reacting to fans when he should suck it up..,

But Spence? That’s irrational nonsense you’ve talked yourself into and now got married to. Ange is the first manager since Steve Cooper at Forest to get Spence into a meaningful role. They clearly have an understanding that is enabling him to show who he can be as a player. It’s one of Ange’s very few success stories so far this season.

Honestly, if he isn’t sacked today then I'm done with this season. Just shows we aren’t being run as a serious football club.

This totally ridiculous narrative about how players retuning from injury will somehow show us to be a top team shouldn’t be indulged.

Does anyone think we aren’t going to get more injuries this season even if a few players get fit again? Example- Richarlison comes back only for Solanke to get injured. Then Richarlison gets injured again and so on.

As far as I can see, Ange seems to be pinning his hopes on an out of sorts Romero and injury prone VDV to somehow turn things around.

face saving game. wrong choice from day dot (in my opinion) but an executive recommended him? and he don't care because he is being paid money he could have only dreamed of. some salesman ! I wonder how many of the Ange the Musical fans (besides the Australians) have ever watched the A-league ( that's australian football's main league). It's not really European league standard as some have guessed. Probably League 2? standard? Look at the players in and around the Australian national team and where they play. Hearts have tried a few. Two have remained with them.. one left start of the current season to go back to australia, another Garang Kuol was loaned to Hearts and is back at Newcastle. Harry Souttar (Scottish born) at Sheffield United etc. Probably some more in scotland.

Just look at the more successful teams in the league. None of them play anything similar to Angeball.

Considering our squad, Ange is by far the worst manager in the league. Only Ten Haag was comparable but he's gone now. He did win a cup last season, so even if Ange won something, he still isn't the man to take us forward.

Cool. Thanks for that.

We deserve to go down. And the fans that have backed either or both of the ownership or AngeLOSS deserve all the misery and all the flack.

If you're still defending either/both of them for this then you're not fit to be a football fan and you need your fucking head checked.
It is absolutely as insane to be behind either of them as it is to be a flattard.

They are waiting for us to bomb out of the cups now before sacking him. Bosnich just said the same as last week and you’d think he’d have the inside track knowing Ange. He’s safe until after that fa cup game.

Madness.

Newcastle had to contend with masses of injuries last year and Europe. They weren’t this bad.

It’s all excuses.

Well, they had to contend with it and even decided to give youngsters chance. So Miley surfaced and was trusted to be EPL player at 17.

But fuck that, we still decide that Dorrington and Lankshear can bug off. Not good enough. Without ever given chance.

Building future my ass...

To be honest we probably need to start bombing out of the cups. Our squad isn’t build for 4 competitions and certainly not playing high intensity and with an injury crisis. One game a week would be a massive help at this stage.
