Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I wouldn’t trust an intellectually challenged oxygen thief like you to pay your bets so I’ll pass.

Yes I played at a reasonable level competitively.

And above and beyond the above I trust Ange to make such calls and not some simple foamer on the internet.

Now respectfully go and fuck yourself.
basically youre skint and cant afford to lose a bet then. i pay my bets you wally, still couldnt name a captain as soft as son could ya? had long enough to think about it, but maybe thinking isnt your forte.

son wont be captain next year and thats a fact. youre obviously one of these strange little fanboys that follow people around and thats why youre here now, just because you think hes never taken a safe option doesnt mean he doesnt think its the smartest thing to do (for now). :skippwtf2:

One of things I love about Ange is how he exemplifies the underdog come good, and demonstrates what can be achieved with hard work and determination.

That’s a superb example to the players IMHO.

Early days yet, but just to get some temporary relief in the world of modern day football is a blessing.

Can at least smirk this week when i see the sterile red shirts of M Utd in shop windows and worn by glory hunters etc.

Big vote of confidence in Ange (plenty of ups and downs no doubt to come) appreciated him from the old NSL days.

Roy Keane actually said something profound yesterday.

He said that Ange has a way to make the game simple.

Loads of the Ten Hag types can waffle and make it sound complicated but Ange makes the complicated sound simple and the players clearly get what he’s asking them to do.

Only a true master of the craft can explain complicated topics into simple layman terms

Well aware how early it is in his tenure but I'm predicting Ange will become one of Spurs' great managers - as long as Levy gives him everything he wants and needs. If Ange stays three years I think that will already mean there has been some kind of success. If he stays five years, there will probably be extraordinary success.

A word of caution... CFG love him to bits and he's long been talked about as a potential successor to Pep. He's also said many times that he's a boyhood Liverpool fan and managing them would be his absolute dream job.

Success with Spurs could turn Spurs into his dream job.

Very few managers experiencing genuine success at their current club would rock the boat to join another club in the same league...........

i.e. No-one for a moment thought Klopp would jump to City when it looked like Pep might leave a couple of years ago (even though many would argue he was the 2nd best manager in the world at the time).

Bissouma has been unleashed by Postecoglou and he's loving the way he's being treated by the Australian.

"He's more open. He's very calm and talks a lot with his players," Bissouma said ahead of the game. "He's like a friend, a dad, an uncle, he's everything. He plays all of these roles. He's very chill, he's relaxed - never putting pressure on his players. He just tries to tell us what he wants. For me, he's an amazing person and an amazing coach as well."
Most of the players he has managed in the past have positive things to say about him. The word chilled is close I reckon.

Because players naturally want to play the way he wants. It's the way some other managers wanted them to play that was counter to their instincts and took so fucking long for them to adapt to.
A lot of players do, but not all. Gotta give a degree of credit to our transfer business, however insufficient.

The team of a couple years ago would have been a total disaster playing this way, even with Kane. The ability to play with the ball at pace and under pressure has gone way up across the squad.

By the opposite token we’d be staring down relegation if we tried to play dinosaur style with Porro and Udogie and Van de Ven and Sarr. Horses for courses.

This is the right course, come what may.
