Yeh - it all points to him being out of his depth. Seemed a nice enough guy at the start of it all, but I see a future a la AVB in some far flung league and then retirement for him next.
I think he means the City game that if we'd won might have given Arse the league.
I just think as his tenure has panned out hes been fixed in his mind that his methods, tactics and coaching works but the step up to the premier league is way too advanced for him. Imo grouchy at press conferences as defending himself but hes not upto scratch at this level. If he wins europa he can sign off with club as a legacy but it's not enough to give him more time with us. He has to go in the summer.
c'mon man..that's just the sound bite/mantra. Most people have seen that the 'system' doesn't work. Without fear of making mistakes.. Timo Werner was thrown under the bus in a press conference. Not sure if I have heard something like that before from a manager in a press conference .. regardless of what the public says about the player. It's a low bar in my opinion.

I know that - it’s the ‘asking him to lose a game’. He’s blaming the fans again for his mistake in not understanding the rivalry.
If he’d have straight up gone: ‘I really understand it’s an awful position to be in as winning will lead to the horrific possibility of Woolwich winning, but we need to prioritise the CL as this will lead to use being better able to challenge in the future’ then, whether we agreed or not, we’d have understood and understood that he understood the history and rivalry a bit.
As it is, he made it all about himself and his ‘winning’ values and how he couldn’t believe some fans wanted to prioritise Woolwich falling to win the league. Fans don’t care so much about his opinion- we care about the club. And we show it in different ways and with different opinions. However, Ange is all about Ange and not the club (certainly any more) which we can see from where he wants to prove a point against us with the ear cupping etc..
IMO, he should be humbled and honoured to have been given the opportunity to coach us. Even Nuno who had a torrid time showed more class in his comments last weekend than Ange has done since last season.
TLDR - I know what he was referring to - he’s wrong.
He’s changed the perception for sure. Now every single club in every tier of every league knows they can counter-attack down our right side.
What do you imagine the perception of this club is? With or without Ange?
Because I can tell you from living abroad and speaking to people who don’t even watch the PL but see the internet narratives, they don’t perceive that we are all-conquering, mighty Tottenham Hotspur
And tbf winning the EL would do more to fix that than finishing 4th in the PL

For Ange’s clarity - yes, his tenure (certainly this season) has been a ‘disaster’. If we squeak to a Europa win that will save it a little bit, but right now, it’s an absolute shocker.
Even if we do win the EL, I will certainly remember it as ‘remember when we fluked our way to the EL despite Ange’ (a bit like my view of Ramos’ LC).
