Ok then. Stop acting like it wouldn't be a huge achievement for this club and especially this fanbase.

It would be a huge win, but achievement wise beating Alkmaar, Frankfurt, Bodo and the worst United in decades isn’t huge. Our worst team in years could do it.

Sorry if that upsets you. It’s factual. It won’t make the winning of something any less enjoyable to accept that the quality has been hilariously low.

Go on, admit it. It’ll make you feel good.

Winning the EL would be HUUUUGE, Massively, bigly HUGE.

I couldn't give a fuck who we beat on the way.

It would be huge symbolically and for getting the monkey off our back. It wouldn’t be huge practically because huge practical tasks require more than symbolism.

If you think defeating the teams we’ve defeated is a huge actual, practical achievement then I have nothing further to say to you as you’re chatting deluduwaffle.

It would be huge practically as we'd get CL football next season and an increased budget. Also it makes us more attractive to any potential new manager or player.

Its not some success. We are very close to our first major trophy in decades.

Ange came into this club and promised to shake the Spurs loser attitude and turn us into a trophy winning team. It seems most fans on this forum value top 4 above any trophy - and that has historically been our issue - Top 4 is the only ambition - get the TV Champs League money, but its not worth risking the investment required to try and win the thing.

YES. 17th is a disgrace. BUT, Ange has laid the foundations and shown LEVY and the board that this team IS CAPABLE. We can achieve success - but if you want it across multiple competitions, you need a proper squad.

Ange has shown the board - You can have a trophy; or you can have top 4. You can't have both if you expect u21's to be a major part of the squad.
Fully agree on Levy and the squad, but you really really need to wait until a trophy is won before parping on about Ange winning anything.

I mean in terms of quality of opponents beaten - obviously winning the EL would be big for the club.
Well it's a competition for teams who ended the season in the top part of mid table, or perhaps domestic cup winners that ended the season further down the league than the Europa League places.

It's been our best chance of a trophy all season because of the standard of the opposition. I'm still not confident we'd beat Manchester United if we meet them in the final. Our players could well let the pressure get to them, or United just keep fouling Maddison until he goes off injured and our attacking play is then significantly weakened.

Me neither. We had the hardest draws possible in the league cup and went out late in the competition. To win the EL is a massive result for any club. Baffled why anyone would think any different. It is a much better competition too without the loser CL teams dropping into it. Something that should never had been allowed to happen in the previous incarnation of the competition

We should do the same to Fernandes. Without him they have no creativity.

The loser CL teams actually gave it some quality sides. Not sure I agree there, it massively upped the pedigree.
