Isn't he a Spurs supporter?

Meant to be.

He could still be. Not every Spurs fan will like every manager. It was a personal dig not really about the football so who gives a fuck?

It was definitely unprofessional for a sports journalist to use a xenophobic impersonation to express a personal attack on a manager that he’s meant to report on. He’s probably been doing his job so long he’s forgotten about being professional. Or he was trying to get cheap engagement. That line is very blurred these days.

I can see why some might not have taken to him tbf. I wasn't a big time Spurs fan back then, I found his mannerisms funny but he was also a bit shady. So something like Liew's attitude would make more sense with him.

Whereas Ange very much seems to be squeaky clean.

I've only just caught up with Ange's presser after the Man City game. His final non-answer to the last question (asking if he could empathise with Guardiola regarding the ref's blunder) was hilarious! His eyes and expressions said more than words can ever say.

He is saying absolutely nothing about Ange and a lot about himself.

It's football media in a nutshell these days. Pandering to the masses at the same time as appearing intellectually superior than the fans they clearly despise.

Liew is a Spurs fan and was laughed at by Ange and his peers in the last presser. Rather than learning from it he has started a pointless campaign to get a sort of petty revenge.

"Nobody knows Ange...that's why you shouldn't like him."

Making fun of Ange for being either an immigrant or Aussie when he knows full well as a Guardian reporter that he would happily cancel anybody who said that about the immigrants he cares about is pure nonsense.

And him using his platform to make fun of Ange reminiscing about his dead father and calling it bullshit is a new low.

Absolute cunt. I hope the plastics he's playing to lap it up because he will be forever branded a cunt to me.

Oh that makes some sense. Writes like a bargain basement Barney Ronay so fuck him. Such a contrast with Ali Gold who, if he's ever got a few snide answers from managers, takes it on the chin and laughs it off.
