If he wasn’t a football manager he could dominate the world with his oratory skills. It’s inspiring to listen to him speak. Utterly compelling. Utterly unshakeable belief.
I know exactly what all the fuss was about when we gained a few Celtic fans on here.
He is brilliant and whilst I have kittens every game, our football is so good to watch. A “mate” of mine is a red, and he messaged me Sunday night to say he found himself cheering at the TV at some of OUR football rather than his own teams!

Today I read, in an interview with my Swedish team's new coach that he said they want to play like Spurs. Must admit om thrilled about it.
Because of the places he's managed it's gone a bit under the radar, but Ange has been quite influential throughout his career.

His Brisbane side played a big part in changing the direction of the A-League from one very heavily reliant on English-style kick and rush football to (a desire at least) to play good football.

It was similar in Japan in encouraging teams to play a more expansive, less conservative game. Not to mention his club Yokohama's two subsequent manager appointments have both been Ange disciples in Kevin Muscat and Harry Kewell, which shows the club's desire to stick to the path he set them on.

Staying on this path (with perhaps a little more conservatism in defence at times please Ange ) is the direction I think many fans want us to follow. Whether he stays 10 minutes or 10 years, we are the talk of the town again. The football is great for fans and neutrals. Everyone wants to watch a spurs game if they aren’t watching their own team. It’s great to be loved for our football and bravery when it gets tough.
And aside from grievous little shit journos in the grauniad etc, we aren’t getting a bad press right now. Even that red rat weasel Neville is having to swallow on his own words.

We'd be better playing Angeball! That team was perhaps better in the final third than the current team thanks to peak Dele, peak Eriksen and Kane. BUT, we're yet to really see what the current squad can do, and I expect the current team to surpass that team in terms of performances and success.
Huge task. Remember that peak Poch team got 87 points. Pretty sure that 87 points this season would win you the League.

Not sure if they touch upon it, but I'd wager that VAR is increasing the risk of hamstring injuries too. Lots of standing around waiting for decisions before suddenly starting back up and doing explosive runs again. Micky's went pretty soon after the VAR decision that gave Chelsea a penalty, if I recall correctly.

I hope someone somewhere is telling them to consider some stretches or whatever if a VAR call starts to drag on.

Said this a few weeks back. They absolutely have to introduce some gentle “keep warm” exercises whilst VAR pontificate for 5 minutes, over a toenail being offside.
Right now it seems that time stops, all the players grab a drink, scratch their balls, and watch a screen for the decision.
Then pick up again at 100% straight after.
If the muscles aren’t warmed down/kept warm on these guys while some perverts watch offside porn in a seedy little room, then I am sure we will see more injuries.
There must be a simple way for these guys to zone out of the VAR bullshit and focus on their own health for however long it takes

Have no idea how Celtic fans will be able to get over not having Ange as their manager. I know when he does eventually leave (retire with us hopefully) anyone that follows him is going to be on a hiding to nothing.

from the amount of Celtic fans that joined the board even BEFORE we were linked:

- Really sad to see you go;
- Thanks for the really good times;
- Wish you all the best wherever you go

(as long as not Rangers, Linfield or Chavski obv)

Open Goal is a Scottish football pod presented by an ex-Celtic player, and Ange still gets spoken about in every episode. They even went down to watch the game at the weekend and made a vlog of it, it's a decent laugh if you fancy it.

Reminds me of my school team...we were constantly being told, "kick and run"..that was at Hackney Downs. Closed down after being named "the worst school in London...
