Agree with everything till the last line. Stuck loving the club unfortunately.I’d love a dynastic manager, building teams over and over, winning trophies etc. I’m sure you all would too. Was discussing ‘dynastic’ managers v ‘project’ managers the other day with a mate. The former are rare, the latter the norm (way before we called them project managers).
Anyway, the relationship changed/began to sour between Ange and us ‘the fans’ before and after City last season. While there have been the odd ‘AP’ chants in the ground this season, the doubts (on line, at games, in the pub) have really grown and culminated with last nights ‘scenes’ at Bornmuff. Personally I find him arrogant and punchy without substance. But hey Ho.
That’s the PR stuff then. The playing side - you know tactics, motivation, in game management - has been increasingly amateurish despite the odd high profile win.
No idea around set pieces and no desire to change or work on them despite the trend (set by Woolwich) for winning games by attacking and defending set pieces well.
Bizarre team selections. Hanging kids out to dry. No leadership. No discernible style now (after demonstrating one at the beginning). In game substitutions leaving us flummoxed.
He’s a dead man walking now whatever your views on Ange. We all know the script by now - Levy will throw him under the bus to protect himself - especially as the fans have turned.
Have lost the love for this club
A workmate last night over a few pints described it perfectly. Being a spurs fan must be like being in purgatory
