The difference is simple, Villas line up in CL games is almost exactly the same as Prem games.

Our line up in the EL is heavily rotated to our Prem starting 11 - for a start we Moore, Lankshear, Bergvall, Dragusin and Davies - none of whom are genuine starting players in the league for us. I’m sure Odobert would have had more minutes also

This is false

If I recall the only time we've really 'heavily rotated' is against Ferenchvaros, Besiktas we played with 5/6 starters - the rest have been pretty much almost all first 11.

You can't be serious?
I thought you were a reasonable fan.
I didn't think there was anyone left, even the most diehard Levy fans that used the fear of things getting worse as an argument for keeping them around.
Are you alright? Where have I said anything of the sort?

I've said a change of ownership won't be the path to utopia, and also said ENIC should have been ousted after Super League.
Never mentioned things getting worse, or wanted ENIC to stay.

I think we'll be the same as we are with new owners. A 4th to 7th club.
Are you going tonight? How much was your ticket? Same question for Sunday?
Aside from not sure what the relevance is exactly. It'd cost me an airfare from the other side of the world for starters.
So no.

When did we play Besiktas, must have missed that one.

Qarabag, Ferencvaros, AZ all had Moore and Bergvall starting. Ferencvaros also had Lankshear starting.

I don’t mind you disagreeing, but please provide some evidence - so far you’ve provided none. Our starting line ups have been heavily rotated for Europe

You mean you want me to disprove your weak ass theory because you're incapable of using Google, okay then

vs Qarabag, where' the 'heavy rotation' here? Note we played with 10 men for about 80 mins as well.

And I obviously meant AZ when I said Besiktas

Ferenchvaros I already said we went weak

We've played 6 games so far in the EL and 2 out of 6 games we've rotated significantly, the rest no so what are you talking about?

Also this 'we pay the highest prices blah blah' is such a forced argument because it only speaks from the match goers perspective, the vast vast majority of Tottenham fans don't go to the stadium.

Spurs fans moan too much, I think it's a fashionable trend amongst self entitled football fans these days on social media and our fanbase are just as guilty as anyone. I know everything is relative and we've had an up and down few seasons but fuck me some of the whining is embarrassing.

WWAH’s.

Them and the TWAT’s don’t know they are born.

Anyone who is going into the Tottenham Hotspur stadium as a paying customer is one of life’s winners. Fact.

What a lovely contribution Who has made to the forum. Around 75 posts, the vast majority in the Ange Postecoglou thread and every single one of them slagging the manager off.

Brilliant stuff. Illuminating; thought-provoking; the kind of all round contribution that makes TFC a brand leader in football discussion forums.

10/10 - would read again...

It’s relevant - it’s easy to say we are in the top 6 alls good but it doesn’t factor in our history (50’s to 80’s of being London biggest club), nor the cost and effort of expecting more than that (based on ridiculous ticket orices). Relevant context you are missing

I could argue you're missing context that when the first division changed to the EPL and money exploded from there we missed the boat. We were a club that through out the 90s was not particularly well run and other clubs got the march on us and we've never recovered that lost ground.

Ticket prices are a uniquely football centric issue. I have a season ticket to a different sport and pay hundred's a year for the privilege and have held that ticket for all but 6 years of my life, and never have moaned about the money spent and that creating an expectation for success. Season tickets regardless of the sport should be for the entertainment value with success being the cherry on top, and this seems to be how it works in Rugby, NFL, NBA, MLB etc. etc. Football tribalism in England ruins that, the pressure to succeed is largely based off not wanting to be the victim of office banter at work.

The price charged by Spurs may be high, and it should be lower. Being a London club wouldn't help with the price setting as costs would be higher in the capital.

Think your incorrect here Shady. When we had a full strength squad, we were rotating heavily. All of Gray, Dragusin, Davies, Bergval, Werner, Richarlison and Moore started games and none of them would be regarded as first team. Unforunately the squad has been so decimated with injuries that we've only been able to make 2/3 changes for last 2 games but first 3 games, we definitely made atleast 5 in each game.

You can't be certain that new ownership won't yield a positive change because you don't know who any potential new owner will be.
That itself is a certainty. You can't be certain.

What is certain is that nothing will change now, not with these leeches.

Where have I said anything remotely close to something that's certain?
I have also not said not to change ownership.

I just don't believe ownership is what's stopping us becoming a title chasing club and that the likelihood is the status quo remains similar just a different name on the chairman's door.

You've said a few times, in very certain terms, that changing owners won't change anything.
