like what? The thing is that it might work, if it were combined with a little pragmatism and just some basic fucking common sense.
I understand the feeling that Levy might see this as the one that needs to work out. It’s more than that for Levy really because he’s tried the Jose, Conte style, he’s tried the ruthless sacking of managers and now he’s gone this route and proclaimed “we’ve got our Tottenham back”.
All feeling aside for Ange the man and coach, this might be the first coach that Levy actually NEEDS to work out.
We’ve kinda sat through that movie twice beforeBit of a punt.
Did well at Dortmund but then fell out with everyone.
Kinda listed some examples in my post.
Very good
so you wanna change not playing out from the back and the high line? so basically you wanna change enough to make it a completely different system then.
I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic?so you wanna change not playing out from the back and the high line? so basically you wanna change enough to make it a completely different system then.
there is no tweeks to this system to make it successful at top level football. its brain dead stuff.
oh and you want the manager to adapt in game to the circumstances loool.
Completely agree, and until the the people upstairs are willing to take a big financial risk, and up the ante when it comes to transfer time, we can "want" until the cows come home unfortunately, no matter who the manager is.Getting rid of Ange is the wrong thing to do.
STYLE
Playing defensive, pragmatic football is for teams that just want to 'survive' in the league. If you want to win, you have to be attacking. City and Liverpool have dominated for that reason. However, this system only works with a world class keeper and centre backs. We won't progress with centre backs who are always injuries and a keeper who cannot defend set pieces.
CULTURE
Ange is changing the culture of the club. He's spoken many times that mental weakness and a loser attitude dogs the players. We signed a lot of our players from relegation battlers - they do not know how to be successful, only to survive. There is no confidence, no swagger, no arrogance.
If the club wants to be successful, they can only do that by getting the right players. Another change of coach just starts the merry go round of mediocrity again.
World class keeper
World class centre back
Elite DM
He’s also having to change style of play from Moyesball! His irritation at questions in the press conference becomes more and more baffling the more you think about it. Because the truth is, he's been treated by the press, the fans and the club pretty delicately. In fact I can't think of another premier league manager, who only has to do the bare minimum or below to get their belly tickled like he does.
Whenever we get in any way embarrassed by a performance, the club are quick to put out that he is under "no pressure". Which is absurd that any manager can be under "no pressure" let alone after our form for the last 10 months.
We pull it back to 5-2 on Sunday and he gets his name sung.
Compare that to Lopetegui. Who only arrived in the summer at West Ham and had to try and put a new team together on the fly. He's been getting dogs abuse from the fans and the press and always feel like he's one loss away from the sack.... That'd be the Lopetegui who's team is now level on points with us.
He never shows any passion or fight on the touchline. May just be shy out there and is more comfortable getting angry at reporters.Wolves are a laughing stock this season and they sacked their manager and.....are sneaking up behind us.
Bur our crazy fans want to stick to what we're doing. Mental.
I'd rather he was gone before Sunday tbh. But should he not be gone early next week after the Wolves game, win, lose, or draw, then I'll be surprised.
The man is finished. He's just stood there, hands in pockets, looking at the floor. He may say he wants to stay, but i reckon he wants to be paid off and gone now.
We were 3rd when Conte was sacked. With a defence reliant upon Dier, Sanchez and Davies.
Imagine anyone at this stage still thinking he should have been sacked but ange shouldn't.
Add in dorrington surely we must encourage and give our own academy players a chance. We have Vuskovic coming over in the summer that can take a bench/cup role as he settles in and becomes homegrown. Philips as well possibly. So let's say two cbs and Luka coming in. That's doable. Especially if neither Romero or VDV goes.
But Potter isn't wedded to the 3 at the back either. He's done the 4-3-3 as well and the 4-5-1.
Be great to get all the quotes from posters that kept going on about Ange’s first season is to bed in his philosophy and 2nd season you watch us go
I got called all sorts fir saying mason should go as well!I can’t. I don’t care if we lose the next hundred games, reverting to Mason is a disgrace. That useless little gimp should be fucked off before the manager imo.
And it’s never 1 match..
He doesn’t want control but then says we need to beeter at itYou can say all this till your blue in the face, his results with a fit squad are just as bad and I dont believe in his philosophy.
He is open to counter attacks and his tactics will not work against elite opposition in this league.
With no injuries or not that many! The bloke lost at home to ipswich. That itself was a sackable offence.
Every cloud...
