i think a young up and comer wants to go up a level. some are more patient and perhaps pickier than others and choose to avoid a club like spurs and wait for a better destination. most just want to raise their profile and triple their pay with a guaranteed contract and sort it out after they get sacked.
honestly i don't think we're that bad of a job. true, we're not a club that wants to compete at the highest level and we don't spend in way that that would require, but i don't think we make claims to be at that level. we want to hover around top 4 and win the occasional cup and hope we get lucky with generational talent we uncover. we got close with poch and kane and kind of shot ourselves in the foot by building the stadium at the same time and then desperately turning to jose and conte to rescue it but we aren't the club that's going to support managers like that. i think ange was an attempt at getting back to who we are we just backed the wrong horse.
Agreed with a lot of this.
It's why I think a Silva or a Marco Rose are a better fit for us (and NO, it's not because I want a manager with the first name, Marco).
