Was it you who said this a long time ago? I have wondered about it a lot since reading on here and It does make a lot of sense for the forward players to press intensley for 60 odd mins and then sub them off for fresh legs. I remember when Celtic fans were on here they said Ange rarely plays the front 3 for the whole game and would sub them off early so it's a bit weird we have seen him take so long to make changes here. I suppose when the option is Werner it makes sense 😄

Conte used to do it with his wingbacks didn’t he? They were regularly subbed off second half as he realised they were knackered after 65/70 minutes.

His interview style got him a lot of positive feedback at first, but ironically it's now probably the source of a lot of the negativity toward him. I think sometimes foreign managers have an advantage because they can get away with saying less. Postecoglou is going to launch into long discussion of himself and his philosophy and I think it's just worn thin over time.

I agree. You’ve even got journalists now who are saying that he doesn’t need to provide headline quotes every single press conference as it is only putting pressure on him. Yet it seems that’s what he continues today. When journalists are saying that, I think it was Dan Kilpatrick, Then you know it’s probably correct as they live off those.

I make it about 17 jobs bigger than the Spurs job.

City, Liverpool, Woolwich, Chelsea, United, Barca, Athletico, Real, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Napoli, Lazio, PSG, Bayern, Dotrmund, RedBull L

Also worth considering Ajax, Porto, Savilla, Benfica and maybe Newcastle.

Most of those clubs are also more attractive for players, with guarenteed Champs League football year after year.
We used to be above those jobs in 2010s. Amongst the 2nd tier of Atletico Dortmund etc...

Hmmm

Napoli, Lazio, Dortmund, Redbull I'd say no, wouldn't even say AC Milan these days either.

The worth considering definitely not.

The children are people like you who can see this clown week after week and still think that he's the answer. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Why do you care? I get it why you’d care about Ange and his performance for us, but why are you so absolutely vexed that there may be other fans that don’t agree with you?

Seems to be a thing in here, same in the ENIC thread and a few of the player threads. Less shit getting thrown the way of the subject and more thrown at people who don’t think exactly how you want them to.

Posters that do this are narcissistic weirdos. Stop searching for acclaim and accord everywhere you go. Some people will always disagree with you. Accept it.

If we all had the same opinion it would be a very boring world.
It is quite humorous though to see how people react/ respond to differing opinions. It’s like the school yard, name calling at 10 paces.

I’d go further than humorous. I think it’s quite concerning that actual adults act in this way. The need to be agreed with. The need to target people who don’t agree with them. It’s the kind of behaviour I’d expect of kids at primary. As you say, name calling at 10 paces. We are becoming soft as fuck as a society if these folk are any reflection of the general public.

There really isn’t
Or maybe the fact that Ange does not have a strength and conditioning coach or fitness coaches has something to do with it. He leaves the players to do their own gym work and concentrates on training with the ball.

Then on top of that Ange instructs the coaches and they drill the team. We then have a very inexperienced set of coaches most working for Spurs prior at a youth level.

Simple fact is Ange prefers that and seeing that none of these coaches are experts in sports science or fitness. Maybe just maybe that, the tactics we play and the fact we cannot rotate is feeding into an ever bigger injury crisis.

To absolve Ange of all blame is stupid and short sighted.

Why would he have a strength and conditioning coach? Hes not playing.

I’m pretty sure the club has one for the players. Tbh I be surprised if they have had less than 5 S&C coaches.

Let’s be honest. How many bigger jobs are out there than the Tottenham job, maybe 5 clubs in England (city, pool, Woolwich, Chelsea and united) Bayern, the two Spanish giants, juventus maybe, and for money and city PSG. That isn’t a huge amount of jobs for the 1000’s of managers competing for roles. Plus 90% of the above have younger coaches who should be at the job for at least 3 more years. That’s a lifetime in management! if Iraola has a bad season at Bournemouth next year (maybe two games a week, likely sell their best players during the summer etc) he might never get a shot at a big job again. I think with our young squad and similar style he would jump at the chance. We could also easily pay him £5-6m a year for a good long contract which dwarfs his 2 year £1m per season at Bournemouth

Ok, we can pay a higher salary than most but I dont think we will attract a ‘special’ up and coming manager. There’s the old football adage, ‘’choose the chairman, not the club’. So any super bright and ambitious manager with look at Levy’s shit decision makings in the transfer market, note that manager after manager has not been given the tools they need and decide to go elsewhere.
It used to be that our former players left and went on to win silverware…..in a similarly disappointing way our recent sacked managers have gone on to enjoy better fortune elsewhere.
I bet Slot pats himself on the back everyday for turning us down.
Its depressing. Nothing will change until Enic change.

A strength and conditioning coach is very common thing now days and fitness coaches have been common place the last 20/30 years. At the moment Spurs have neither. Unlike with a best manager in the last 20 years there is no one on staff that does this. Ange actually sacked the strength and conditioning coach because he believes players know what is best for their own bodies.

Between this and your "I don't understand why Spurs fans get upset about being shit" nonsense you're either the most downbeat and defeated Spurs fan in existence or you're a troll.

Absolute nonsense. The spurs job is bigger than at least half of those you've listed.

Go back to the drawing board and start again.

You can fuck off with the likes of Newcastle, Ajax, Porto, Seville, Benfica, Dortmund, Atletico and RB Leipzig for a start. Not convinced that those Italian clubs are bigger jobs than the spurs one either, frankly.
