whats the worst? keeping him a year longer than he should have? The hiring of this man must be the second worst decision in Levy career.
It's not our job to be experts in that field, and we arent paid MILLIONS a year to keep tabs on every player and manager that is on the radar.so if we sack him now who is your preferred caretaker coach to finish out this season?
We haven't learned that at all though.
What we've learned is that in some games they look shit and in others they look world class.
Yet the team always plays the same way.
What we've learned is that we shouldn't judge them until we've seen them in a different setting.
Sorry Matt but in 1 maybe 2 games this year they have looked world class... in the rest they have looked different shades of shit... they need judging because a different manager is not going to get a better tune out of this lot and before you say it... I am well and truly Ange out,We haven't learned that at all though.

So out of the 19 senior outfield players in the squad how many are you personally happy with?
I’d say most people on here - reading comments - would get rid of 50% minimum.
And do you know who Max Robson is?
I was being somewhat hyperbolic.Sorry Matt but in 1 maybe 2 games this year they have looked world class... in the rest they have looked different shades of shit... they need judging because a different manager is not going to get a better tune out of this lot and before you say it... We should have sacked him in the summer at the latest. Many of us saw this season happening long before the end of last season. It's not our job to be experts in that field, and we arent paid MILLIONS a year to keep tabs on every player and manager that is on the radar.
But OK
Benitez: not great fit in terms of style, but we've gone past the "nice to have" options. Things are now critical. Someone to make us hard to beat because right now Palace/Everton/Ipswich can beat us, and that makes us relegation candidates.
Potter - missed that one, he's been available for months. Him to the end of the season? I'd have bitten your hand off. Took a terrible Brighton team progressively upwards until they were playing top 4 form stuff.
Redknapp - would take us away from the danger zone, absolutely guaranteed
Thats off the top of my head without looking at any lists of availables. Clearly we're not going to get HR, because Levy can't stand what he sees as a wide boy spiv. But he'd do way better than this fraud
There are loads of coaches out there. Loads. We're a big club. Loads would say yes to the chance of impressing and getting the gig permanently.
At what point does it get SO critical for you that you to pull the trigger?
Shouldve been Palace. Then FFC. Then B'mouth. Then Liverpool. Then Wolves. Then Everton.
If we don't beat Leicester on Sunday? Is that bad enough for you?
Even Big Sam will be better than this. OK, not easy on the eye but we've gone past all that shit. Style is a luxury we can't afford. We need results and we need a defence. NOW.
Exactly!whats the worst? keeping him a year longer than he should have?
Potter and Benitez would not agree to caretaker roles for 4 months just to steer us out of relegation. That's a bizzare take. It's not our job to be experts in that field, and we arent paid MILLIONS a year to keep tabs on every player and manager that is on the radar.

I just went back to page 600 which was around the 1-4 Chelsea game
Amazing how few alarm bells were ringing
You're missing the point.Potter and Benitez would not agree to caretaker roles for 4 months just to steer us out of relegation. That's a bizzare take.
The right options are Iraola, Frank or maybe Silva/McKenna. I think we all agree that they are the best candidates and none of them are realistic candidates until the Summer. So in the meantime it's very hard to convince a top manager to take us over for 4 months.
Big Sam is the only name you mentioned thats a realistic shout but come on man! Are you trying to turn us into a complete laughing stock? The circus is bad enough as it is but imagine the banter if we turn to big Sam to literally get us out of relegation - something we are over 100/1 for!!
Why would that matter in the context of being FIFTEENTH ???? I don't have to personally be happy with Bissouma to know he would be starting for a majority of sides in this league. So would Dragusin who I also don't rate. Even someone like Brennan Johnson, one of the most criticised players in the team, was considered the 'key' player for a team in our area of the table.
The question isn't whether the squad is good enough (it isn't) but instead is whether its good enough to not be where we are, which it very obviously is. I accept the context of injuries and it is a legitimate reason to underperform, just nowhere near to this extent. Having injuries doesn't justify the worst form in the entire league.
I don't rate a lot of players in this team (and do rate quite a few!!!) but fully believe they are being massively set up to fail by this coach. He can't cope with adversity and is tactically inept. A lot of them are being asked to do things they simply cannot do, and our defensive structure/coaching is non-existent.
When you are making Calvert-Lewin look like prime Henry because a Moyes led Everton can simply launch one long ball and there is a chasm where your backline should be, it isn't down to individual talent. Its down to shit coaching and fucking stubbornness.
100pc.We haven't learned that at all though.

I’d much rather have Dyche to AngePotter and Benitez would not agree to caretaker roles for 4 months just to steer us out of relegation. That's a bizzare take.

lol you think porro is going to slag off ange and his training in public? all this training speculation will never be verified in either direction until ange is gonePorro interview dropped, he says some interesting things about training that a few of you might want to read, you probably won't like what he says though.

And you know this how?Potter and Benitez would not agree to caretaker roles for 4 months just to steer us out of relegation.
We are already. Banter FC.
Red Herring. You were talking caretakers. Yeah we know these guys but chances are none of them will come in during the season. In the Summer I'd add Rodgers to that (as long as he spent all his life on the training pitch and was nowhere near the chequebook).
Yeah because everyone's factoring in that Levy will sack Ange with 10-12 games to go.
Even at our absolute best against the very weakest PL opponents, playing Angeball is going to generate threatening counterattacks at a level and speed that most of the SPL can't against the Old Firm.Fully agree on the last point and we were definitely expecting more like that from Ange. I think he’s been deterred a bit by all the extra time that gets played at the end of games due to non-stop time-wasting in this league.
Per your first point, I think we have seen domination over games in the PL when teams have admitted that they couldn’t do anything to keep the ball. We definitely can’t do it right now with the injuries but with a relatively fresh squad, there’s probably 3 - 4 teams in the PL where we weren’t expecting 60%+ possession and huge territory advantages.
well it's apparent we're stuck with ange until the end of the season so no point in arguing with you few dead enders anymore. you guys are more obsessed with knocking back arguments than anything happening on the pitch so back to ignore you go. honestly anyone still thinking ange is the answer just isn't a serious person really.
