If we lose to Brentford, which I think most all would agree is likely, it will be 1 point from 8 games.

Presumably, back in 2008, all of the Ange-inners were clamouring for Juande Ramos to be given more time? He had won us a cup after all, and was in the middle of a painful rebuild having had Keane and Berbatov sold from under him?

With the TW shut at the time too, clearly there was no way a new manager could come in and do better immediately.

I have no idea what I wanted to happen with Juande Ramos. Do you?

I still think the best summing up of it all is that yesterday, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, a man who, let’s face it, is very much still an amateur manager gaining experience in that side of the game, actually told an interviewer BEFORE the game exactly what his tactics are.

He told Ange before players were on the pitch how he was going to beat him. I bet he couldn’t believe his luck when they got their goals in the first ten mins of the second half, he’d thought he’d have to wait till 70-80mins.

This follows, was it Declan Rice who in a post match interview said they weren’t bothered as they knew exactly how we were going to play, how to beat us and that if things didn’t go our way we wouldn’t stop doing the same things.

Other teams are literally telling our manager how they are going to beat him, and he doesn’t have anything about him to know how to stop it.

What on earth are we doing here.

Even the moron Keown on TalkSPORT now is talking through how our tactics are terrible and his beliefs are flawed. He’s so biased against us normally but you can even hear the frustration in his voice about how bad we are set up.

Thought he did a good job last season under the circumstances, finishing 5th was a good season compared to this one... funny how things in football change.

Earnt the right to take us into this season and I did think we were unlucky in alot of the games near the start of the season, however recently it's got worse. Same problems, same easy goals being conceded every week.

That isn't a bad set of players, Porro for example isn't a bad player but the tactics are killing us now. Every single match Porro is getting caught up the pitch and teams are getting down his side.

It's kamikaze football which if it continues will get us relegated. Even when we get players back, you know full well there will be more injuries. You only have to look at Richy, back for half a game and he's already done his groin, he'll probs be out for 2 years now.

Simple way to look if we can't take a point off either Everton or Leicester, we are fucked. Looked how Moyes has made a dog shit Everton side win 2 games on the bounce.

But you look at our salaries and we're on par with West Ham.

We pay fees but skimp on wages. We buy a fairly nice mid range petrol SUV, so it's nicer and shiner than a ford fiesta but then we fill the tank with diesel.

I think Ange should be doing much better with what he has but he's still limited in what he's been given.
He cannot organise a team. I assume where ever he has been he has his Assistants do the majority of the lifting when it comes to coaching and we have given him Bert and Earnie to coach his player and talk about team shape.

Ange is just there to tell everyone a bed time story about his relationship with his father.

Considering Micky and Romero were injury prone to begin with, Ange's negligence has possibly affected the level, in which they could play at in the future.
Worst manager we have ever had at Spurs, mainly due to his incompetence at the very principles of player management.
I posted a few pages back about injuries and injury reports coming out from Celtic during his time there…it’s all very predictable, the difference being you can get away with it in the SPL, although even Celtic were getting concerned

I would give Redknapp a go. Players just need an arm round em and a sensible formation.

Anything is better than what there is right now with Ange.
...and to think people used to deride Harry as having no tactics and telling the players to "f*cking run around a bit."

Ange isnt anywhere near Harry's level - could you ever see him taking this team to the San Siro (or similar) and getting a 1-0 away win in a champions league game like Redknapp did?

One thing that Redknapp did well when he took over from the mess Ramos made was to get back to basics - simple system, put players in their right positions and identify the gaps for improvement (e.g. bringing in Palacios as a DM).

Angeball is pure chaos - I've never seen a team so wide open at this level of football and dont get me started on the bizarre selection of players in certain positions and the ridiculous lack of game management.

nothing new or unique to Ange, we always underpay when it comes to wages. every manager is frustrated with getting a lesser player because we wont pay up

I don't disagree with any of that. I just don't agree he's been backed to a serious degree.

He's been backed for a midtable finish, and yes he's underperforming on that metric. But he's not been backed to challenge for anything. And neither was Conte, Nuno or Jose.

My main worry about Ange is how many of our players careers we will wreck.

We were in a good position this summer to push on for CL qualification with the right signings. Now I'm worried how may of our starting 11 are finished.
Almost a bigger worry for me than relegation right now, how much of the damage that he's doing is irrepairable?

Physically some of them may be permanently reduced by his time here, and the next manager will also have a job on to get them to un-learn the batshit tactics they've had hammered into them.

They're generally young lads too, this isn't a year and a half/2 years of stagnation, it's active regression, at a key stage of their development.

Someone else pointed out the other day, and I've said similar previously, the players that look best for us are the ones that have had least time with Ange. The whole team looked best under him before he'd had any real amount of time with the group!

We ought to stop looking for a perfect option amongst the available alternatives, the current task isn't getting us back on course for CL as soon as possible, it's a fucking salvage job, and the longer we allow this incompetent to carry on his demolition job, the bigger the ask of the next guy becomes.

They are waiting for us to bomb out of the cups now before sacking him. Bosnich just said the same as last week and you’d think he’d have the inside track knowing Ange. He’s safe until after that fa cup game.

Madness.
Talk about throwing the season away..... I knew 100% at Galatasaray he was out of depth and he should have been sacked after Ipswich game.

Keeping him now makes no sense whatsoever.

Our midfield gets ran through consistently when we get turned over cos our 8 and 10 push up so high leaving the 6 so much ground to cover and always a huge decision to make that if he gets it wrong opposition usually punishes us....it's mental. Look at the 2nd goal, Sarr is basically a CF has to sprint all the way back seconds after he sprinted up the pitch to be there. Happens all the time...and we wonder why we can't keep the ball.

Look how many times he hooked both midfielders at half time last season.... happened to Bissouma, Bentancur, PEH, Sarr, Skipp, Maddison... every single midfielder at the club.

This geezer is killing us.

Or we are too cheap to pay him off?

It’s something to do with money or the club being sold, because it’s nothing to do with what’s going on on the pitch. Can’t be or else he’d be gone. Think about it for a minute. Given levy’s history of sacking managers there’s no way he’s keeping him in the job unless something else is in play.
It’s the only thing that makes the remotest bit of sense to me.

A clause for a lower payoff that hasn’t been hit yet or investment/sale of the club, something like that.

I’ll be amazed if we beat Brighton.

I'll be amazed if we win another league game this season.

I HATE Levy. Hate him worse than having a tube shoved down me knob when I was getting kidney stones sorted.

I don't hate Ange. I want him gone because he's in over his head and shite, but I do feel somewhat sorry for him too. Hung out to dry by the bald lizard, and completely fucked over.
