Yup, a graveyard for managers!

And if we are serious for a second. I wonder if the club has dug itself a hole so deep, we can't get out of it?

What great manager would want to come here now? Same with players.

I'm not feeling positive at all about the club going forward. The only thing we have left to attract managers/players with, are living in London, and money. And we all know our owner doesn't like to spray money around.

But that's the only route we have left it seems.

The only scenario i can see, is back to the 90's and midtable obscurity, unless we start spending big on wages.

Managers will still come

If you’re the manager of Bournemouth, Ipswich etc you’re coming

Any Spanish club outside the big 4, Dutch league etc they’ll all come

Only exception I think is some of the Italian clubs

The money on offer is just too much and curiously levy does pay managers very well …. It’s afterwards it all gets messy

What he doesn’t like doing is paying compensation to get the talent out of clubs which has definitely caused us bother in recent times … but actually managers wanting to come I genuinely don’t have a worry about this

imo he’s not gonna sack Ange til end of season he’s got good time to line up the right replacement without the previous clown show

Just my two cents worth

Sky Sports News digging him out a bit. Showing days lost this season from injuries up to end of January.

PL Average = 557 Days.

Woolwich = 648 Days
Palace = 652 Days
Ipswich =667 Days
Spurs = 783 Days
Brighton = 1020 Days.

Presenter saying Brighton have lost considerably more than Spurs, are higher up the table and implying they’re bleating less than Ange. Saying Ange stated “Nobody else could cope” but Brighton have haven’t they?

Maybe they’re getting fed up with him now as well.
But what about who was out injured? If we lost both reguilon, Whitman and Forster for a whole season it would push those numbers up, but has zero baring on the team we are to put out.

Better stat would be to compare teams who haven’t been without regulars in the starting 11. Say Woolwich without raya, saliba and Gabriel. Or Newcastle without guimariues, isak and Gordon.

Fact is, we’ve played the bulk of a season (with a game every few days) in 4 competitions without the core of the team

How the fuck have Woolwich lost that many days to injury?

And why did they do January to January when the season starts in August?

I funnily enough think that we have a far easier time recruiting established managers with actual name value than some might think.

We are known to pay our managers quite well. And everyone knows about the title drought. For an established manager who's already won stuff and cemented himself, we are essentially a free hit. Fail to win something here and no one will care, but manage to break the drought and you write yourself into the history books.

Up and comers who are building their reputations however are probably more hesitant.

Saw that but they didn't mention whether the injuries were for regular first teamers. Brighton have had some long term injuries but don't think many are first choice. Solly march been out for the season and their CB got injured recently. Milner too been out for most the season but not sure if he would be starting if fit. A bit different to having 4/5 of your back line out for most the season and a lot of their backups too

We'll know more what's going on by tomorrow evening.. Tottenham's sackings are pretty much always at least a couple days after the managers last game. They like to pretend that they don't make decisions without careful consideration

No tweets today so far is pretty unusual. Even after a defeat they’ve usually put some bollocks out by now. Probably as I type this they’ve announced an official taramasalata partner or some such bullshit.

Think detailed analysis with appropriate weightings applied would be too sophisticated for Sky Sports. They just go for headline figures, and maybe to piss Ange off a bit.

Yeah, just reporting what Sky Sports were saying. But as said to another poster, think detailed analysis with appropriate weightings applied would be too sophisticated for Sky Sports. They just go for headline figures, and maybe to piss Ange off a bit.

I don’t really care if he stays and we start playing better and winning or goes and we start playing better or winning. I just want us to play better and win. Clearly too much to ask.

(FWIW: I think we will play better and win a few if all the injuries miraculously heal - however, Ange doesn’t seem to be the man for this job).

Of course it's disingenuous nonsense. But chum is in the water and sharks are circling. Can't dig Liverpool out the way he did and get away with it on Sky.

Especially when youre still dangerously close to a relegation battle and coughing up ridiculous goals like we did yesterday.

Sensing another Conte like meltdown - hope he goes two footed in on Slot when the dam breaks :D
