What he has got is lucky, lucky to manage one of the top ten biggest clubs in Europe.
What he hasn't got is, a set up or system befitting such a status, been an absolute cluster fuck of an appointment and a stain on the clubs history.
Whether Ange is around for another 6 days or 6 years, nobody can deny what he has done for the club. I actually think he’s already been a success in a different way.

He’s come in and lost the best player in the clubs history. He’s inherited an ageing jaded squad and cleared out the deadwood. He’s developed Archie Gray and Bergvall who both look like they could be come elite players. He’s getting the best out of DJed Spence when no one else could. He’s changed the mentality on and off the pitch. He’s changed the football on the pitch. He keeps talking about winning trophies and whilst he may never win anything, at least he’s talking about it. Other managers just wanted to finish top 4.

The thing is, whoever comes next will just need to put the roof on and furnish the house after Ange demolished the junk, poured the concrete and laid the bricks…

Completely outplayed City second half. Some players clearly need some rest like Spence. Moore’s only young so may also be struggling with some soreness hence why Werner got a go. Not that hard to understand.
Moore soreness how df do you know that ! His hardly played recently. Talking absolute BS. Ange just couldn’t wait to get his faves back like Johnson. ( who played the whole 90 abd was garbage), destiny, Werner, etc and get them in the team. He has no faith in our academy players. As for Spence Ange should be sacked for
Tel instead of Scarlett is a mystery to me, Werner ahead of Scarlett is bloody insulting.
could add young Will

We've spent a shed load of money too , if Moureen or Conte had been given the money we've spent with Ange at the pump , I'm sure they/we would have had more success . Now all the money has been spent - if a new manager comes in there will be little or no money for new players to fit their philosophy . Ange has to win Europa League Trophy or it will all be for nothing . Next season could see us with no European football , which will put a lot of potential signings off coming to the Lane . The EL trophy really is a massive all or nothing for our club .

"Mathys has worked hard and he was one who probably needs a rest. " - The Fraud

He was saying he needed more game time last week! Such a fucking idiot manager, blags his way through everything
Didn’t really see much from him.
Feels like Scarlett is being Spenced - Dane would have at least matched Tel's output today and more of a physical presence up top.

Can't be too critical of a 19 year old in his 5th Prem game, but not seeing much to write home about yet.
think it’s fair to say his prbly had more minutes in the PL than Scarlett and Lankshear who are same age or older.

I just don't want to end up in another N'Koudou, Clinton Njié or Richy situation. Spending a 60 mill on a player that won't get us 10 goals a season. He's not quick, isn't in top 10 dribblers and doesn't seem to have a goal scorer instinct. 19 is young but we should see things by now. If you’re good enough you’re old enough period.
We need a proper ready made quality player for that sort of money. We have our own youngsters to develop not someone who may be at the same level as them but cost £60M.

Also the good young signings like spence and Gray are not going to stick around in midtable.
If you were their agent, you would be telling the player that , nothing is going to be achieved here and they can both play at a higher level.

It goes back to what I’ve been saying for nearly two years now. We have naive players and naive tactics. Time and again they are shown up.

The plus side of guardiola’s comments is that he obviously thinks we have good players. I’ll take that. Now we just need a new manager to take them over. However, I’m concerned we will start next season with Ange in control. Levy is such a berk that he’ll let it continue into next year, we’ll still be shit in November and he will sack him then. Perfect for levy in that respect because it means another transitional season where he won’t need to invest properly and can let us drift again. Shit though if you’re paying thousands each year to go watch us play, it’s money thrown down the drain.
Oh please no. I dread to think he will still be here for next season. I'm not even giving past the return leg against AZ if we lose the first. If Ange still flies out with us for pre season, I think it will be very ugly for Levy in those receptions.

you and everyone else who expects us to be right up there with Woolwich when/IF he's sacked are in for troubling time I can tell you that .
The reactions will by most intriguing when the new guy starts to seriously struggle

Let’s not change history here.
Ange himself was saying he expected us to challenge the top teams this year?

Was he just full of shit? Selling snake oil to the masses?

I’m pretty sure the expectations for the season the majority expected us in the Top 4.

Let’s be clear. Woolwich are as close to 10th as they are 1st. They are 8 points off 5th place.
You don’t think we could be in and around that level? 5th?

Until the end of October we were closer to 2nd than 10th. We are not miles of Woolwich. Far from it.

Maybe, or more likely he genuinely believed that not realizing what Tottenham Hotspur football club actual is until you live the job.

no difference really from nuno saying he's gonna make us proud

There's no ambition here, no pressure, no culture to win
No manager is gonna make much difference apart from some 5th place finishes ...great

He had been here a full season and just bought Solanke for £65m.
You think he didn’t understand the club and having worked with the squad for a full season he didn’t know their capabilities?

He literally says he wins things in his second season. It’s what he does. He’s happy to state that.

But you think that 5th is our current ceiling?
And we are not one of the big favourites for the EL?

Ange Postecoglou reacts to fielding youngest-ever Spurs team

On Wednesday in the clash against Manchester City, Postecoglou’s faith in his young players was on full display as he named the youngest starting XI of his managerial career since moving to north London.

The team also ranked as the second youngest in Tottenham’s Premier League history.

Speaking after being made aware of the record, the Spurs boss reflected on the positives, despite the team’s current struggles.

He said as relayed by the official Tottenham Hotspur website: “There are definitely positives, and I think, you know, I keep saying there is enormous growth that we are witnessing before our eyes, even though we are not getting the rewards for it right now,

“It is great for Wilson to get 60 minutes today, and he will benefit enormously from it. Archie and Lucas continue to grow every game, and look, we are disappointed, but like I said, in terms of performance, from my perspective anyway, there is stuff in there where we can say, ‘okay, we are going to take that forward and get to the level we want to’.”

Yep 5th is our ceiling with the outside chance of 4th under enic :paraticiwink:

Of course it isn't a "stain on the club's history", don't be absurd.

It may well prove to have been a mistake, no argument there, but compared to say Terry Neill instead of Danny Blanchflower it doesn't even come close.

We are 3 points from 16th place and have given our biggest rivals 6 easy points while fucking up a 2-0 win to our other rivals. I guess we did at least beat West Ham..

Sounds pretty stain like.

The Gooner fuck Neill relegated us.

Postecoglou isn't going too.

Get some perspective.

Is that the bar? We didn’t get relegated?

If we don’t win the Europa league it’s been the worst season in memory for a lot of younger fans. Given our wealth and general status now, that’s pretty fucking bad.

No we aren’t going to get relegated - but with the wealth gap between established prem clubs (let alone us) and the rest, it’s almost impossible for that to happen these days. It will probably never happen again due to this. All 3 promoted clubs going down again is no fluke.

We’ve been about as bad as we possibly could be in the league.

Didn't you describe the AZ game as a "free hit" - i.e. you don't care if we lose?

I'll be over the moon if we won the URFA Cup, sick as a parrot if we don't. Simple as that.

If we don't - more probable I guess - then I doubt he'll be here next season. If we do, he gets another go I suppose. And then we'll see.

No that wasn’t me.

If we win the Europa league it will salvage everything. If we don’t it will be an abysmal stain of a season and Ange will be the architect of it. I don’t think we will win it. I haven’t seen a team capable of winning anything this season.

We will see.
