It doesn’t need to be an agenda. The teams in this years Europa are weaker because of the format change and the lack of teams dropping down from the Champions League.

How else would you explain United’s and our domestic league position and the chance both teams are likely to end up in the final?!

What’s idiotic is to think otherwise!

Pointing that out doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate should we win it.

Appreciate what you’re saying, agree in some respects. This squad is good enough now to be challenging for 8th - 10th, that of course isn’t good enough. However get a proper manager in this summer, really push for huge change at board level and give a proper, qualified footballing set up time. Most importantly, keep investing every year in pushing that set up, if it makes a final, fund it to win the following year, don’t decide to just celebrate making a final and decide we’re good as we are.

Hopefully we all get what we want here at some point! 🤞

Bodo had 59 % possession. That suggests a different tactical approach in this game from Postecoglou.

The Frankfurt tie could also have been completely killed in the first leg. That it wasn't is a reflection of the forwards who IMO are mid-table mediocre

Who gives a fuck about this if we win it, why does everything have to be a discourse about things we as a club have no control over, if we win it means we deserve to win - the mental gymnastics from people desperate to downplay anything we do in this competition is stupid and they are saying it because they don't like the manager, it's agenda driven tripe because those people don't want to give this manager any credit at all.

Maybe that’s in response to the people that post saying we should keep Ange if we win the Europa?

Under those circumstances you can see why people are giving reasons for getting as far as we have in the competition. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Probably. But it added some spice and some genuinely good teams. Now it’s Europe’s mid off. I think the quality is reduced massively, the fact the final could be between 2 prem teams having their worst seasons in 48 and 51 years says it all. But its a much more interesting, improved competition...

TBH I can see both perspectives & there’s very little to get het up about in either of your posts. Both can be true! 😁

I think a lot of fans are seriously worried that success in this competition will result in us doing a Tent Peg and keeping the manager on. It’s such a big concern that it is tainting the enjoyment we should all be getting from the cup run.

Some are so desperate to see the back of him that they just can’t acknowledge if he does get something right, so crediting him with team selection etc. just fans the flames.

I’m unsure whether selecting Richi was some managerial master stroke or whether he didn’t really have much option with Sonny out injured and Tel’s mixed form. Then there’s the substitutions which did seem a poor choice when what we could have benefited from was Sarr’s athleticism in helping to shore up the midfield. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My ideal scenario would be we win the Europa and then immediately part company, replacing Ange with someone more tactically astute.

Yeah it's absolute garbage argument from people tying themselves into knots so they don't have to give credit were it's due just in case we win it.
The Europa league was full of strong clubs like Frankfurt, porto, Lyon , Galatasaray, Lazio, Roma, ajax and athletic .

TBH, I think that's the view of 99.9% of the fan base now and no, I'm not one of the 0.1%.

It's been the shittiest season in living memory, but we actually have a reasonable chance of having something special to celebrate. We pretty much all think we need to part ways regardless, but that really needs to be suspended for now and addressed after we see whether we manage to win it or not. If we do, thanks for the memory AP and good luck in your next role.

Whatever happens though, he's done here. A European trophy is a wonderful bonus, but that's all it is really. The league is the metric that you measure success in, and he's been an abject failure this season, we've regressed badly. I simply cannot see any way in which the board can look at what he's done here and see a light at the end of the tunnel under his management.

IMO he's gone regardless of whether we win it or not.

The agenda driven tripe as you call it is justified. It’s not like people are just saying these things because they simply don’t like him. It’s based on the fact that we are going to lose 20+premier league games. So stop trying to downplay people’s frustrations because they have every fucking right to be fuming. You don’t get to dictate how people should feel towards him.

Can't believe people still engage with him in good faith. Spent an entire season riding Ange's dick and winding people up, admitted directly to trolling people over it. That's all he's doing now while still acting like he's superior after being wrong about everything.

Call him what he is and treat him for what he is. He's utterly pathetic.
