I hope so- it’s just there’ll be a lot of pressure to hold onto him on the off-chance he wins the EL. I can’t really see what spin you can put on removing a coach who has won the first major trophy in a long time (this is much more than the LC).He wont be staying. He knows it. Every utterance he makes is for his next job not for this one. The club are going to lose £30m from finishing 16th or 17th instead of 5th or 6th, the constant injuries to players, the spats with the fans, likely our record number of league defeats in a season and worst league position in 48 years. Its gone way past the point of no return. Beating AZ, Frankfurt, Bodo and Man U isnt going to change anything ( if we do which is dubious). Add in Vinai and Paratci wanting their own man. No idea how good they'll be but they strike me as professional at the very least, it wont be wet wipes likes Munn and Lange who have handled this like rabbits in headlights.
I hope I’m wrong and they’re a mutual parting of the ways and a reset over summer. But, you know…been supporting us since the ‘80s so we’ve been through a lot!
