Yay
This is turning into the most important point. You'd feel like the lot of them will revolt if he gets sacked.
Rightly or wrongly this trophy i think buys him another summer.
Mmmmm, you think that's a premeditated move to force pressure on to Levy and the board? FMD...
You'd assume a decision has been made prior to that statement..
Some supporters lens on Ange is absolutely disingenuous and absolutely disgraceful in how they come to the conclusions they come to. It's like he's brought you the joy and he's still Judas.
Even 1ppg will be enough to keep us up next seasonThis momentary wave of sentimentality will be our ruin
He’s 1.0 PPG as our manager.
Over two full seasons.
How can anyone see this and say “yes give me more of that”?
Spot on. Ange knew what he was doing.I think the decision to sack him was pre-planned weeks ago. That's why we're hearing about the structural changes, including the removal of Scott Munn (an Australian, who brought Ange here, by the way) and the appointment of Fabio Paratici.
Sacking him now, though, would be very problematic in my opinion. Although it might be a rational decision, he's the one who gave us the best moment this club has had in about 40 years. Just look at the parade today — it was bouncing.
Football is all about emotion. Sacking the man who brought that emotion is causing division among the fanbase and also among the players. It would take a top hire, like Inzaghi, to get everyone on board again.
That's why Levy is in a tough spot now. If Paratici comes in, I think Ange is 100% gone. But if Levy suddenly goes with the vibes, rejects Paratici, and meddles with Vinai, it would show his incompetence and reactionary nature.
Ange knows this and is applying pressure with statements like that. He knows that suddenly, momentum is with him. The next few days will be interesting for sure.
Well, if you care about the PL. Then we SHOULD sack him.You simply cannot sack him now and expect the players to actually give 100% for the new manager.

They didn't give 100% for AngeYou simply cannot sack him now and expect the players to actually give 100% for the new manager.
Ha, someone else spotted it..That third season line from Ange was a really calculated attempt to try and make him unsackable to Levy and the board.
Thankfully I don't see Paratici falling for Ange's preplanned bullshit. And make no mistake, that line was preplanned.
If we have anyone under our roof who won’t give 100% for a new manager, they should be sent out.You simply cannot sack him now and expect the players to actually give 100% for the new manager.
He knew exactly what he was doing.

We have two full years of data about what happens when Ange lines up against decent opponents
1 PPG
And that figure was buoyed by a fast start last year that never was duplicated
It will only take a couple of games of the same old shit for people to realize retaining him based on the vibes was a titanic mistake, but by that time it will be too late.
Have we agreed on that all year long?A lot of them need to be shipped out!
Everyone has agreed all year long that the squad isn't near good enough.
He's trying to keep his job. Mystery solved.
It just doesn't work like that.
Come on man, the players finished 17th under Ange. Do you really think they think Ange is the only manager they can play under?
Its funnyWell, if you care about the PL. Then we SHOULD sack him.
Other managers already have him figured out. Unless he changes his whole philosophy, there is no way we can get top 4 next season with Ange.
No rational person would ever disagreeing with you .
But :
Given the tidal-wave of emotion hitting this Club right now ; it would take the person who shot Bambi’s Mother to sack Ange now . Not impossible; but imagine the pressure the next poor sod would be under …
Incredible as it may seem: Ange has to stay ; to do otherwise would be a leap too far for Danny Boy .
