Before we sign any players we need to find out why we are getting so many injuries , look at Palace for example - they played full strength all the way through to the FA cup final - I know injuries are part of the game but we can’t have another season like this where players are dropping like flies.
If we can add the players like you say and have 70% of them fit all season then I think we could do something very special
I totally agree without the injuries, we would not be anywhere near where we ended up in the league. In Ange’s first season I think both VdV and Romero played most games for us. Yes missed a few but no where close to this season. Injuries are some times simply bad luck, bad timing etc.

He'll go down as a legend for breaking the no trophy spell and getting rid of "spursy" (for a while at least). The correct decision is still to replace him though. League form over a long time period and methods that obviously result in injuries galore need correcting. There will be no AZ/Frankfurt/Bodø/Man U run to save us next season.

Makes you wonder when they will sit down to discuss anything.
With the excitement right now I can't see that happening, but if change is going to be made they will need everything in place before pre season starts.

Winning wise not much… he had a good personalty pundits liked him? I didn’t dislike him in anyway personality wise, I just don’t see what tangible things he accomplished with what on the most part was a very good squad of players including probably one of Englands best players in history, one of the most creative players in Eriksen at the time, arguably the best CB pairing at the time. I don’t see anything in what he has done since he left us that would make us take him back other than sentiment.

Christ :mourweird:

Proberly wishful thinking but I was hoping there would be a mutual parting though I know it wouldn't make much sense especially for Ange to agree .It's a real dilemma for Levy as prior to the final he must have being wondering what he is going to do after this week .The whole atmosphere tomorrow will be so different to what it looked like it might be .

It's worth considering, that allowing this project more time will bear more fruit, and PL wins.

Reviewing this years premier league results, and football. Not good enough.
Cup comps, Perfect or ok.

We need 2 players in every position, in top form at all times to give us any chance, to play the football we have seen they are capable of, consistently. Which we haven't had often enough.

This young squad, is capable of piecing together the quality in every position, in depth, with some of our 18-22 year olds developing.
If that same team next year, added Luka (Vušković) in place of Gray or Davies - If he adapts to the PL and continues improving. Competing for the 3rd to 5th CB place, (Gray and Davies been 6 and 7th), and the best of our other CB prospects on loan.

2 extra CB's as cover, we are much more solid in depth.

Cardoso transfers in, potentially our best 6.

LW/ST - Tel adapts further to the PL, many before him struggle until there second season, then you see the player.
Odobert stays fit.
Moore developing and and not missing months midseason injured, he could be a top player.

RW - Mbuemo?

ST - Please can we have one more :)

What a day. Was fully Ange out but after yesterday I cannot see any mutual parting. My question is if we get smashed by Brighton on Sunday and the same lack of creativity and poor defending is on show like all season, will people change their minds from the obvious euphoria at the parade? My answer is i just don't know.

Ange has clearly put down the message I want season 3 and will deliver.

I think now he will get it but if the league form doesn’t massive improve it will be a mid season sacking.

It’s really confusing seeing people say Ange has “instilled a winning mentality”, because on the one hand, he’s got us over the line for a trophy, yet on the other he’s lost 21 league games in a single season….

Split mentality, or a good start on a mentality with work to do?

he told us he goes out to win every game, but now he says he sacked off the league in Feb to focus on EL
he told us he won't change and in the league he hasn't yet in EL we all see he changed, So why didn't he change in the league (rest players but play more defensive) we would have picked up more points, yes only got to around 10th (but thats a lot better then losing 21 games and finishing 17th)

He's answered all that. The league was done when the injuries came. He then identified the Europa as winnable and the main priority, even if others at the club disagreed with him. He said he believes cup games are about moments and that requires different tactics. He admitted the League finish was worse than he aimed for regardless.

I’d suggest that meeting was very likely to have happened and it would explain why the axe didn’t fall already.

I agree about the meeting but feel it went slightly differently and Ange was assured of his job while still in the EL

Levy probably didn’t reckon on us winning it so is now in an awkward position!

I still think that there will be a mutual respectful parting of the ways and he will get his pay off with a healthy bonus.

There can’t be a mutual parting of the ways now. Ange has been very clear that he wants to stay. If he doesn’t start the season, he’s been sacked. Nothing mutual about it.
